There is no impact on this for crypto market if the news is real. I already guessed this would happen because FaceBook have already initiated ban on crypto or ICO advertisements in their social media and Google is the mother of FaceBook, so it is obvious that this steps would be taken.

We have other search engines and I think due to this other search engines would reach to the moon and compete with Google if Google bans crypto related ads.
And there will never be. They are adverts and everyone can decide to change their ad policies anytime any day. Moreover, I am sure the OP is only fond of picking the headlines alone and seeing it as a bad news without even reading its contents.

Google have a huge point on what they are trying to do and considering the level of scam and phishing that has been going on with adverts and a lot of people falling for it, I am solidly behind them but that apparently will have no effect on the cryptocurrency market, so OP can take a chill pill and go to sleep.

Can't see it as a bad news. There are don't much crypto related ads in Google back then but still crypto reached it's steady status today.

Google searches pointing to some crypto related services e.g exchange names, coin name etc. are not filtered properly so banning ads will be a good mvoe. Some malicious site always on top of that search results creating a clickbait especially for those who are not aware of the system.

And even that news is related to the current bearish market, there are lots of reasons to believed that soon this trend will end.

Last year facebook and now google then what next? actually this kind of news is from FUD's 'cause to be honest if they totally confirm that issue why still there are some results about crypto related content from google and also in facebook?  So for the sake of bitcoin price stop posting this kind of news 'cause it's a big impact to create a panic selling.

already 10 topics about this. dont create more.....
FUD mongers are always not tired of spreading stuffs like this. When it is good news, you will hardly see 10 topics

being created at once, and once according to them they feel it is a bad news that can easily spread FUD and panic, they go around spreading it. I am not surprised since the OP's personal message is SOLD and looking through his past posts, his account was deliberately created for FUD, may be it is high time people started putting him on their ignore list.

It's not bad news, it's good news.

Most of those ads were for phishing sites, designed to steal people's log-ins for the exchanges. It gave noobs a bad impression that the crypto space was full of scams and crooks.

Yes, but people are panicking in such cases and that results in normal coins losing a lot of market capitalization. I agree that it should not be this way and ads are not actually important, but with people paying attention to anything at least slightly against cryptocurrencies done by major companies, it is the kind of news that make the current price of bitcoin almost as low as $8k.
Nevertheless, such moves are probably necessary if we want the market to be cleaned of scam. I think that eventually it might even help with the prices situation, since more real faith will be put in the market.

I have noticed you bro! You are a huge alarmist. Do you know what those ads have caused for people? How do you think people always end up on phishing sites in case you have not noticed? This is not a bad news and Google had good intention for this but you guys always like to paint everything as bad news apparently. It is long overdue considering the level at which most of these ads have done more harm than good.

Same, i partially support Google in their move.
ICO scammy ads are popping everywhere and many people once seeing multiple ads tend to trust it and fall in this sometimes obvious scam.
Although, some well established companies shouldn't be affected by this ban, it should be more selective.
In fact, I give my 100% support. I have seen a lot of people making use of Google to visit a particular website, and the first thing that comes up are ad related websites when you make a search on Google with some of them being phishing websites.

So many users have ended up being a victim as a result of this and if Google has decided to make a stop to this, I am totally in agreement. Apparently, they are more concerned about the users than the revenue they are getting and they have their integrity to keep as an ad space.

I think that is not the right issue, it is this kind of thing that makes bitcoin down, wrong media, the absence of scientific evidence, if indeed google prohibit, the proof is still a lot of news about crypto in google, essentially not forbidden, but we should be more careful in bitcoin investments, do not be tempted by big profits, see also the risks that we can

This will be one of the reason why they ban the ads. Most of the people just dont get it. In my country 60% of the population thinks crypto is a kind of modern scam, because the media only reported the news about the people who got scammed by scammers. Now that more people are aware about cryptocurrency, then the social media is the best place to do the scam via advertisement.
