But if you bought eth in late December and thru January when it was in the $1k range, you are in the red. But eth was always a long term hold and I believe 1 eth could be worth $2k to $3k two to four years from now. It should have a low $500 value really soon. There is a lot of long term investors that want the coin to stay at $400 so they keep selling down.

The price falls are market-wide, I don't think that the reason for ETHs price fall has anything to do with ETH itself, it's more of a whole market sentiment. But it is certainly an opportunity for dollar cost averaging.
