Coin prices fell to its lowest level ever, This is the best time to buy and hold. No one will know how low altcoin prices will be. But this is the best price to buy them. I think in May this year they will rise again.

I agree with this opinion, just choose the right coin to invest/ trade depend your experience and never follow others opinion, decides by your self and face the risk. This time is the right moment to buy coin and I suggest you find the coin from coinmarketcap list top ten ( after bitcoin and ethereum ) and use your technical method to read coin price moving in long term period. If you would like to trade for a short always look an altcoins and token that are trending meaning the top gainers and top losers. You can see it in coinmarketcap.com trending menu then choose the coin/tokens that attracts you. Like for example the Dropil token previous price was 0.0045$ and now pumps upto 0.0065$, so the choice is still your of what coins buy but try to look their performance and its history to guide you which one to buy.

There is no doubt that undervalued coins like this can benefit us in the long run but they also carry the huge risk of not getting pumped due to low trading volume. Such coins may become the victim of the pump-dump strategies and believe me such coins do not last for the long time on the list. But yeah some of them with nice project ideas can be jackpot during the long terms of investment.

For now the dips are pretty good if you are considering to invest your money and any coin that had ATH above $1 and now is trading at lower than $1 value is perfect choice of coin. Actually theres a very good time to buy all the top ten altcoins. They cheap like never before. And im sure you will not get them not so cheap anytime soon again. So its a good time to invest in ethereum, ioata, dash monero and the rest of the top ten. They are also some other coins which i prefer who are not in the top ten. I mostly prefer two kinds of coins to buy during the dips. The first one are those promising coins with huge following like ETH and BTC. Although they cost much, they are the ones which get more attention when the charts have spikes in them. The second are those cheap coins with good potential which are more prone to be successful in the long run. XRP, ADA, EOS are some examples. They easily get doubled when people start investing in them . A few change in their % may lead to good profits.

Aside from Bitcoin (which is an obvious choice) I think that Ethereum is a promising buy in the long term. Right now its not even a third of its value during its recent All time high. Imagine buying ETH now, you are guaranteed as a holder not only a good margin of safety but also a 300% gain just by re-testing its all time high. But aside from its 300% minimum growth potential I am really happy about the margin of safety I will get as its what a lot of investors are looking if they want to hold a cryptocurrency in the long run.

50% of balance for bitcoin? In my opinion thats low. I would say 60-70% of btc is needed in anybody's portfolio if not more. The reason is simple, end of the day its bitcoin which is the king of crypto and the source of purchase of other crypto (minor contribution from ETH and fiat). So undoubtedly btc price will rise in future and you can be sure to make profits if not today then another time - that btc will not go into waste/loss ever.

However if you feel some other altcoin is going to have better outcome in short or mid or even long term then by all means do invest in that at your own risk.

To be honest, Bitcoin is not the best crypto coin but it is the coin having the potential to give outstanding results down the road but things are still in the development mode so I think it's not the time to judge it. There are some critical issues on which we need to work and find concrete solutions so that it would be a payment system as expected by Satoshi. Still, I would consider utility value, market volume, transaction time and cost while judging it. At this point, I would go with ETH, Vchain for long-term investing.

Buy the lowest coin which have lost its own price a lot so that you will earn a great amount of money from its recovery. The more it falls, the more recover it will be. But, do not buy shit coin, buy coins that are in the top 100 on the marketcap

More juicy ICOs are coming and ETH is now cheaper than in the last 6 months.

i would probably choose one of the top10 cryptocurrencies @ coinmarketcap. most of them are pretty cheap now and they will be the first ones that are going to raise up first whenever bitcoin recovers. neo and ethereum are my favorite ones.
