No, as long as where all here to use and promote bitcoin to our families and friends. Bitcoin is the number 1 cryptocurrency so that would be impossible. There are still alot of people that doesnt know anything about bitcoin. This is just the start of bitcoins popularity.

Here is a simple google trends chart showing popularity in searches from 2004 till now. I think that reaching that incredible peak in Dec 2013 was all crypto needed to reassure people that it wasn't going anywhere.

I don't think being low value could affect the popularity of bitcoin, the market has always been unpredictable, and bitcoin had already taste it's fairshare of low value in the past.

je ne pense pas que le bitcoin perd de la popularité bien au contraire. On rentre dans une phase de régulation ce qui est normal après une phase d'augmentation importante. Certains vendent pour empocher leurs plus values tandis que d'autres ce tiennent à distance en attendant la reprise à la hausse. C'est le même phénomène que l'on peut constater sur le marché boursier. Il ne faut pas oublier qu'il y a moins de trois ans personne ne parlait de crypto-monnaies et aujourd'hui il n'y a pas un seul média qui n'en parlent pas. La monnaie digitale c'est l'avenir et quand elle se démocratisera davantage comme moyen de paiement , on assistera à une envolée des cours jusqu'à une régulation de la banque mondiale.

There's no way that BTC is losing its popularity anytime soon. Even the talk from people asking around in the forums if they should be saving BTC for their children or not shows the lack of confidence in crypto. I am new in bitcoin but I think bitcoin doesn't lost its popularity. as those people who are with bitcoin for a long time knew exactly what bitcoin is and how the flow of prices because eventhough bitcoin is in dip now I believe and people who are supportig bitcoin beleive that bitcoin will rise again.
