I'll try again with javascript enabled like I did yesterday What I meant was the opposite way around and I had to enable it prior to accessing the website but it just timed out.

Do I have to enable any embedding's for restricted sites, Could it be my VPN preventing me access to bestmixer?

I've went back to default tor setting yesterday and the page was unable to load.

Going to try again momentarily and report back with another edit.

Cheers.

Hello xelnaz,

About 40% of all orders are going through the TOR-version of our website, we do not see any technical problems from our side. Everything works fine.
As for the VPN, unfortunately, we are not able to tell you if there are any restrictions on working with TOR from your VPN provider.

Best regards,
BestMixer Team

There are no problems with the vpn provider now.

I have changed it's region and it's working correctly.

It looks like there is no registration for users to sign up with and hold an account correct? Is this a feature you will likely implement in the future or you will leave it as a no sign up mixer?

our service does not provide registration of users.
We are not planning to implement registration of users in the future since it is against our security policy.

Is it safe to transfer directly from bittrex wallet to your wallet?

It is certainly safe, as well as to transfer coins from one address to another.
For each mixing order, we create a new unique incoming address.

Dear Friends,

before the start of a week we would like to inform you about the latest updates:
- the minimum transfer amount is reduced to .001 BTC
- the maximum transfer delay is increased to 72 hours
- the percentage distribution between several addresses can be specified to hundredths
- our video is now available in all previously announced languages on our website

Both non JS version of the website and the inclusion of Ethereum are being developed.

It was nice today to read a news about our service at Bitcoin.com:

Just enter into the CAE-check the address where the coins were sent from to your usual bitcoin mixer, and it will show you the receiving address(es).

Why the CAE-check URL is broken?

The service looks very good. Nice to see they posted vulernabilities so other mixers can improve.

The ability to choose pools is amazing. I expect the problem with "trusted" coins or so called trust score of address, to come to mainstream in next months/years.
There should be huge development emphasis on this aspect, as blockchain analysis tools are constantly improving.

Minuses of service:
- Fee per address, not per total transaction. Makes it expensive when using multiple addresses.
- Only 24 hours to send coins.
- Only first transaction is processed.. if you send more it's stuck (need to contact support).

Thank you for your opinion about the BestMixer service.

Quote
Fee per address, not per total transaction. Makes it expensive when using multiple addresses.

When using multiple addresses, multiple transfers are being performed. It is obligatory to pay a Miners' Fee for each transfer  Smiley
This is how the cryptocurrency network works.
BestMixer is one of the few services that does not use a fixed Service Fee, but uses a dynamic value.
Usually, this value is lower than all other services many times, thus, at the moment, BestMixer takes the LOWEST Service Fee for transaction transfer compared to other similar services.

Quote
Only 24 hours to send coins.

It seems this time interval is enough to transfer money to the mixer, while 24 hours are given to deposit, without taking into account the time it will take to obtain confirmation of miners.

Quote
Only first transaction is processed.. if you send more it's stuck (need to contact support).

1. Using a new address for each transaction is a common practice to protect your anonymity.
Otherwise, if someone had sent two transactions to the same incoming address, we would have to send two transactions to the same receiving address of that client.
2. Human factor. Since this is a common practice, such transfers are considered by the system to be erroneous.
Such transfer can occur only if the customer deposits on several separate orders, and mistakenly transfers money to the address of the same order again.
In this case, after contacting Support, funds transferred again to the same address will be returned to the client.

Kind regards,
BestMixer Team

when you have multiple outputs, bestmixer does it singly no batch payment not even with other user's payment
this costs more but I agree the fee is (sometimes) a bit steep, I think the reason is to guarantee timely payment as promised

I don't quite understand this, are you saying I just need to initiate sending (deposit) transaction within 24 hours
and even if the transaction receives first confirmation after 24 hours, deposit will still be valid and processed?

btw, I have a question. anyway I can see my current total volume mixed coin? for discount purpose Cheesy
and would the 15% permanent discount (reviewer reward) added on top of regular discount for maximum 65% discount?

Yes, that's right, even if the first confirmation is 24 hours later, the deposit will be valid and processed.

As for the fixed discount of 15% for mixing received by the participants of our Reward Program, in the future, the cumulative system will be applied to these codes, but the total percentage of the cumulative discount will not exceed 50%

Dear Friends,

we are often asked about the BestMixer code. In particular, in one of the comments to the news about BestMixer on the Bitcoin.com contains a similar question. In this message we tried to give as much as possible detailed answer.

Quote
Why does Bestmixer give you an account/discount number? That would seem to create a way to trace all of your mixing transactions.

This functionality is necessary for any mixer.
BestMixer code is a fundamental functionality; without such functionality any mixer can not be considered anonymous.

Consider a simple example of the sequence of events without use of the BestMixer code for each subsequent use of Alpha and Beta pools:
- today you sent 1 bitcoin to a mixer, getting back 1 anonymized bitcoin.
- after a day, a week or a month you sent 1 more bitcoin and got back 1 bitcoin from the address you sent a coin to, when you mixed first time.
It's not just about the integers, but also the parts of the total amount that you could get back from the old addresses when you use the service again.
Would you be satisfied with the service in this case? Does this service provide anonymity? In our opinion, the answer is unambiguous - no.

As you have already noticed, there is no users’ registration, logins, passwords, emails on our site - nothing that could be considered personal information or disconsider anyone.

As you can see on the pages of the site, BestMixer code is used in two issues:
- first of all, to avoid return of your old coins to you again
- secondly, to provide the maximum discount on the use of the mixer to our loyal clients.
Hence, BestMixer code is created to solve these two issues.

How does it work inside the system?
We have to mark transactions because without marking transactions, we would not understand whether it is your money or not when you repeat mixing; it would be technically impossible. Thus, we protect our clients from return of their old coins to them during subsequent mixing. The marking excludes our clients’ deposit from the common pool, so that they can not use it if the BestMixer code is applied.

The marking is also used to provide discount to the customers who support us by using our service repeatedly.

To sum up, the BestMixer code is necessary to protect a client from getting his old coins back under any circumstances - this is one of the key points on which the system is based.

And as for the use of the Gamma pool, the there is no need to use the BestMixer code in this pool at all, since it is a separate pool, not tied in any way to either Alpha or Beta pool. Using the Gamma pool, the client may not use the BestMixer code at all.

As indicated on our website, this pool is suitable for the most demanding clients who are more interested in the history of the coins. How are the funds formed in this pool? It's either investors' money or our own reserves. And this pool is really going to be a big problem for startups like CHAINALYSIS:) and yes, its maintenance is really more expensive.

We would like to underline that at the moment there is no tool in non-anonymous cryptocurrency networks that could anonymize coins, while not being a third party.

All available methods of anonymization, such as CoinJoin, or Elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman (ECDH), require the presence of a third party.

Therefore, considering the specifics of the project and the unsettled position of various states and state bodies on the issue of coins anonymization, we prefer to be an unregistered company; there are many reasons for this. We would like our clients to trust us, and we, in turn, will do everything possible to ensure that no byte of personal information is available to hackers or government agencies with their de-anonymization tools.

If you have any other questions, we would be happy to answer them.

Best regards,
BestMixer Team

How secure is storing this code for the client's privacy?
I'm mainly thinking about the following (unanswered) questions that were raised about BitMixer.io.
Just 3 weeks after the first post about it, BitMixer closed. The questions were never answered, and I'm still curious. Prepare for a long quote (please note that I'm not pointing fingers, but I'd like to hear your opinion on this):

It is good solution for stay anonymous in digital coins, the other way is use other bitcoins mixing services https://[banned mixer]/
It is still working secure, fast, reliable and huge volume of mixing bitcoins, You get a discount on service fee when you use CryptoMixer regularly. More you mix less you pay.
This means that CryptoMixer keeps logs and may link multiple transactions to a person, right? How is that a good practice for a mixer?

Or how else would they know that you are a loyal costumer and already mixed more than 50 BTC?

Nice fuckin catch, bud! The last time I brought up a similar concern, a few days later the entity - <cough> ... BitMixer ... <cough> - closed up shop.

See if the following is similar:

<playin' devil's advocate; not critical of service but seek answers>

What is a Bitmixer code?

After your first exchange you will receive a special Bitmixer code. This code makes sure that you will never receive any of the previous coins you have added to our reserves in any subsequent transactions you make with Bitmixer. In other words this ensures that you remain untraceable.

Day 1: I mixed U$100 worth of bitcoins and received a Bitmixer code so that when I mix subsequent coins I won't received what I previously mixed back. Fine!

48 Hours Later: I mixed another U$100 worth of bitcoins and received bitcoins back which none were of what I've mixed two days prior. Fine!

36 Hours Later: I mixed another U$100 worth of bitcoins and received bitcoins back which none were of what I've mixed two transactions prior. Fine!

Question: How were the last two transactions achieved given the following? ...

http://themerkle.com/news/interview-with-the-owner-of-bitmixer-io-a-high-volume-bitcoin-mixer/

Quote
Our servers are located in a country where US authorities can’t get access to the server without a local court order. Bitcoin is not considered as money here, so we can’t be a money-laundering service. We use encrypted disks. We delete all order data after 24 hours. We completely erase old bitcoin addresses from our wallet after coins are sent out. Even if the server is seized, they will find nothing.

Clearly, my Bitmixer code remains on file attached to bitcoin wallet addresses I've previously used, else there would be a strong possibility of me receiving some of the coins back that I may not want attached to me, but that would be an impossibility given that ALL order data is purged from your system within 24 hours, as stated above, resulting in the 3-LAs et al. finding nothing.

Further, I'll be paying you a fee to mix coins stemming from a nefarious act with the strong possibility that I'll be receiving coins stemming from a nefarious act tens of times worst than what I'm tryin' to hide. Surely, wouldn't that bring the feds to my door a knockin' a helluva lot quicker? It'll be pretty embarrassing for me to defend myself if accused of running a underage goat brothel when in fact I ONLY pimp out adult chickens and occasionally a matured goose (soon to pimp ducks - drakes and hens).

Humor aside, I look forward to your reply, devs.

Bruno

Now we have (paraphrased) ...

"There are no transactions keep on our servers. Plus, you receive a bonus - the more you mix, the less you pay. Yes, we keep records so that nobody games the system."

"I'm the manager over all the crypto mixing entities.
What's your position? Darknet crypto-based companies?"

1. BESTMIXER DOES NOT KEEP CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION DATA.

2. BESTMIXER REMOVES ALL DATA OF THE ORDER 24 HOURS AFTER FULFILMENT OF ALL THE MIXING CONDITIONS.

3. BESTMIXER CODE CAN NOT BE LINKED WITH A SPECIFIC CLIENT. READ ITEM 1, ITEM 2.

4. THE USE OF THIS CODE ENSURES THAT YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR OLD COIN BACK DURING SUBSEQUENT MIXING.

Below is a scheme of how mixing works using BESTMIXER CODE.

STEP 0. The initial pool is shown, it contains 3 transactions, each transaction has its own BestMixer code.

STEP 1. The client sends 1 BTC to the BestMixer pool, his TRANSACTION is bound with the BestMixer code.

STEP 2. Our system finds a suitable transaction for the transfer, checks the amount and BestMixer code. The client receives mixed/anonymized coins, the balance with BestMixer code assigned earlier is sent back to the pool.

STEP 3. The updated pool now consists of 4 transactions, each transaction has its own BestMixer code.

We would like to emphasize that BestMixer code is assigned only to transactions. Once again, the use of such codes is an IMPORTANT part of any decent mixer.

In case of using GAMMA pool, the system chooses only transactions without assigned BestMixer code, i.e. these transactions were not received from clients, but were originally added to the pool by us or our investors. In this case, the use of BestMixer code is not needed. If you use GAMMA pool, you will never get your old coins back.

Two questions for you, LoyceV:

1. How does your FAVORITE service (of course, in YOUR opinion, the best service, otherwise you would not put advertising of this service in your signature) can guarantee that by mixing 1 BTC today, your coins will not come back to you in a day, a week or a month? (bypassing 2,3,10,100 transactions)?

2. Could you, please give an example of at least one method of attack on a client associated with the BestMixer code?

Please consider the items we highlighted above when answering. Thanks.

Best regards,
BestMixer Team

But can it link several addresses together? How do you link that code to the previously used coins; is it like a database/list of codes and transactions?

They don't guarantee that. They explain it better than I can, so I'll quote their relevant posts:
I have a concern people, Let's say I send 1 BTC to Chipmixer and it commonizes into smaller chips, example 0.25, 0.1,0.1,0.5 etc etc.. and it gives me the keys all good. But when you spend the transaction and spend it anywhere it seems like it's very easy to pinpoint chip mixer transactions in a block.

Lets pick any block for example and see that there will be barely any transaction that's output is EXACTLY in 0.25 or 0.1 or 0.125  and if there are any transaction you can easily link them to chip-mixer transactions. I been scrolling through last few blocks and I can't seem to find any exact whole output.. when I did a transaction it was so easy to notice on block explorer in the block that was mined.

I suppose the only privacy we get is the fact that no one can pinpoint who exactly sent how much to chip mixer.
ChipMixer provides fungibility, not secrecy.

When you use CoinJoin or TumbleBit, you fungible bitcoins but it is no secret that you used it.
When you use Tor, it hides your connection, but it is no secret that you used it.
When you use Https, it hides your data, but it is no secret that you used it.

Fungibility means that every chip-sized transaction may be owned by anyone and there is no connection with previous transactions.

I agree with most of your post, however, having unconfirmed inputs in a regular size does not prove they were mixed by chipmixer at all... I could easily use some of my unspent outputs in a transaction that generates new outputs with the exact same value as chipmixer's chips...
It does not prove they were mixed by ChipMixer... but maybe they were? Lets say you are a blockchain analytist. You encounter ChipMixer-like output. You assume there is 50% probability it may be ChipMixer, so there is 50% chance no link between input and output. You have just gained some fungibility even when you do not use ChipMixer.

Creating your own chips make blockchain analysis harder. We encourage everybody to do that.

2. Could you, please give an example of at least one method of attack on a client associated with the BestMixer code?
The only thing I can think of is that someone gets his own coins back after they've been mixed again by someone else. But that's just a matter of chance (not an attack), and can happen to any coins.

But can it link several addresses together? How do you link that code to the previously used coins; is it like a database/list of codes and transactions?

Look at the scheme above, notice the 'step 0' and 'step 3', the pool before and after mixing, in the database it looks the same way.

Pay attention to the transaction 'yyyyy' with BestMixer code = 1, in the last step there is a new transaction 'sssss' also with assigned BestMixer code = 1, this is the rest of the transaction 'yyyyy'.

We lead to the fact that after some time in the database there is no data about transactions for a particular code left, because these transactions go to new users, the only data remaining in the database about BestMixer codes, is the amount of carried out transactions for calculation of a personal discount.

They don't guarantee that.

This is one of the considerable differences of BestMixer.IO from ChipMixer.

ChipMixer eventually admits that its client can get back his old coins.
BestMixer.IO protects its clients from the possibility of receiving their old coins at 100%.
