first company in sector take a lot, but after years on market stays the best company. Now we have better crypto-coins - 10x faster then Bitcoin and unique (cant be copy) like PrimeCoin. Alt-coin have negative trend now and probably will drop lower. But the same was 8months ago - and one week in March, PPC or LTC jumped 2000%.

I think that alt-coin isn't needed, bitcoin is good as it is, sure it could be faster with comfirmations, but besides that I see no downside

New users don't have as much of a negative attitude to the alts as most of the older ones do aswell.
new users will follow nice sounding names, DGC WDC GLD - may surprise us many times. As soon as they learn what is a core of each coin there is a place for XPM. But, i HOPE CHINA coin / CNC one day Explode  honestly |

I can't argue with that. yeah but i can pay for porn, prositutes, sex clubs etc. with dollars.  Except you can be tracked with dollars.  Nothing worse than buying a sex toy and then the FBI busts you thinking it's an IED. |

I think what we're going to see is the emergence of competing digital currencies, probably a handful or so. As the Bitcoin POS infrastructure is rolled out it will be easily adaptable to accommodate altcoin currencies. In addition, I happen to know 100% that various banking/financial institutions are looking to become involved in the altcoin sector for this very reason. If you read back over Satoshi's posts in this forum, you will see that he too would be supportive of these alternative coins based on his monetary philosophy. |

Well to be honest the banking institutions are interested in cryptos, but not to support our alts (them they want to destroy) but to start their own. |

according to exponential growth I have no doubt its heading to 1000 within a year,
at that point which alts do you think would survive aka not worth like 1/10 value of the current price.
