I believe they said that they were going to introduce and enforce the ban later on, not straightaway. So I think this is why we still see ads, only temporarily though.

Lets observed this carefully what does this means. Its true that strategy like doing FUD will destroy the community good perception. But dont be rely to this information because banning crypto ads by advertising these two popular websites fb and google will make us all safe to get scammed by the fake ICO. Dont be panic of these big sharks banning as these will bring good environment of cryptoworld in the future. Scammers and FUD's strategies will not win if we are vigilant and connected always to reliable source of information like reading news updates always.

Facebook and Google will no longer accept any Crypto and ICO related advertisement application starting late 2nd quarter this year and Twitter followed to announce that they also no longer support ICO and Crypto ads on their platform.
I don't think ICOs and Crypto will cripple down due to limited advertising and promotion because this forum is for me is enough to promote their ICOs by wearing signature and badges.

facebook and Twitter are two of the giant social media platform in world that aims to get people closer to their loved ones and not the victim of scams and fraud ICOs.
people put trust on ICOs and Cryptos because they're been advertised on social media so the victims were blaming the social media for helping out the scammers on promoting their fake and bogus ICOs and cryptos.
I think Facebook and Twitter had decided the right decision.

but good projects need advertising too and how do you know will Facebook or Google allow their advertising or ban them too?

Yes, definitely. This will set projects only with good marketing and without product off the game. In fact, this will lead to the success of good ones, which means better quality. I hope that all these bans that make Google and Facebook will have a positive impact on cryptocurrencies in General. I hope will be less a Scam.

I think this will be good for the crypto community in the long run. Too many scams are going on and its too easy for people to be scammed by these ads. The ban will force projects to actually talk about the merits of their actual technology, not just ICO, ICO, ICO. In the past it was just too easy for any crap company to push ads and get people to invest.

Sounds like FB and Google and Twitter will still accept ads promoting blockchain projects, just not purely pushing crypto.
