You've got the point, but I don't think that by choosing the project from shitcoin and token will be a good choice because I see that there are many other coins that he can buy. Mainly top10 coins are kess risky and might be a good option to invest.
Try to stay away from s**t/zero coins. Coins go to zero for two reasons.

1. Scam/ponzi; owners closed up shop and ran off with money; SEC
2. The project itself failed for any number of reasons; poor leadership, no real market for goods/services, couldn't turn a profit, investment funds ran dry, etc.

We really can't know but this should be the right time for the making investment. Because nearly all coins prices are very very cheap now. If you check the ICO price and the market price you can see the price crushing. So if you invest now you would buy a coin with prices 1/10 cheaper. Check the project and if it still alive just buy their coin. In that case you would invest minumum and could earn in maxiumum if market makes its recovery.

actually a lot of good coins can't be mentioned all but in my personal opinion altcoin ethereum is good because I have invested a lot in it when at low prices.
