When Litecoin is $1000, Bitcoin will be $100,000 and the cheap toilet paper from Walmart will be made by the Federal Reserve.

Anything is possible, please share your idea I'd be laughed at it now but I predict in all honesty that ltc will overtake btc (btw I am no fan of ltc), however neither will ever see $1000.

I am a BTC/LTC supporter, but man what are you smoking, it would be funny to tell that BTC will hit $1000 this year.... but LTC come on...
BTW I didn't know that there is so many Litecoin haters around, it has a been a while since last time I visited this subforum, but i have to say that there is so many new scam coins around here.... I do understand the hate around Alts because I am starting to feel the same, but litecoin and namecoin are one of the oldest and most useful and powerful alts that I would support/hold and accept as a kind of payment.
LTC was worth pennies not long ago, it had a really small network which now surpassed what bitcoin was at 2 years ago, there is always new businesses developing around it, a big trading volume, a great Dev team that also develop Bitcoin at the same time, so it is going to mainstream but lets be realistic, If LTC hits $10 in one year i would be more than happy

If Bitcoin makes it big, there will also be a place for altcoins. In the near future, Litecoin could benefit from increased inflow of funds (e.g., a MtGox event) that could move the ratio temporarily to 0.1 BTC/LTC. People will jump on the wagon once a move starts. Its all about timing and patience.

Those that will be widely adopted by merchants and retailers will survive. Those that will remain as a speculation thing will be replaced by their better competitors.
