I think that will not happen, bitcoin is the parent of altcoin, nothing will replace it so longterm invesment is the most potential to make big profits

I believe you are completely wrong to think that you can invest in long-term bitcoin. You can see that the price of bitcoin in recent days is fluctuating continuously and extremely complex, currently bitcoin prices are constantly plunging and falling, the BTC is touching $ 6600 level and there are no signs of recovery.  So you invest in bitcoin the present moment is completely wrong, you will lose very heavy if the longer hold. trading on high volatility markets is so riskly , for professional traders is very good , for new one its very riskly and you could loss all you money , i am not recommend to trade to people who new here on high volatility markets.

that's really true to you that bitcoin is the place to invest my money and you all in the long run. because I'm sure with us to buy bitcoin at a low price like now it must be if we all want to wait a year or two years surely we can get a huge profit if you want to wait for the price of bitcoin back up again

Greed is what has been the problem of most people. They always end up comparing themselves with someone who has been holding since early days and expecting that they will just enter the market and profit will just start swimming in for them all of a sudden. If they do not understand the volatility as well as the reason why they are investing in bitcoin, then they really do not even need to be here.

This year probably will be identified as an exception as I am worried on the current trend. Still I am too a long term investors and I hold all bitcoins since 2015. I am in profit side already hence I never need to change my initial plans.

As for me, I do not really rely on my loss and gain of my BTC holdings in fiat. What matters to me is how I can save more BTC since as we know in the long terms it would surely be a win for those who invested in BTC. My tip is to focus less on its equivalent value in fiat then more on how to save more. In that way, you can put your panics aside which can result into cutting losses which would be huge regret when the time comes. ICOs are ideal investment but you need to pick carefully in which you put your money on.

If we consider the future prospect of bitcoin in light with it's current position, demand, technological features and long term potential, certainly long term investment in bitcoin is better.But at the same time we can not deny the short term gain generated from bitcoin. Rather I would suggest to invest your 50% in long term and rest 50% jn short term.

Thats the first advice i give to anyone who ask me of bitcoins. Bitcoins is for long term investment purpose only. Regardless of price fluctuations, it is recommended you hold them for a long term. But if you are experience and have much capital, then I think you can day trade for a short term profit.

Hold them for the long term and they are for the long term only just for those who are going with a permanent job. All those who have salaried job and doing bitcoins trading or investing in part time, only for them, bitcoins are great as long term investment. But what if a person is total relying on bitcoins trading having no job? Does he should be going for long term investment?

Bitcoin is a new initiative that serves as an alternative means of currency, for transaction purposes. The digital currency is currently having a regulatory challenge, which i believe would be resolved in the future. It is with this reason i see bitcoin as a long term investment.

I will agree on your second statement that yes bitcoins will be the dominating currency in later coming years. But right now, if you think bitcoins will change the whole world by replacing fiat. This is really difficult. People even don’t know about bitcoins and they are just making scam statement about them. I'm sure the people who lose when invested in short term they don't intend to invest in cryptocurrency. They just like profir and promissing have invested in cryptocurrency. They don't understand the risk, they don't understand the volatility price bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Just put money and wait a second look price go down they sell, that's it.

But I'm prefer to invest for short term, why? the reason is I take my brain calm down, I wouldn't make my brain see the price continue to decline. Yeah I think it will make me stress, so I will buy bitcoin when the price down and I will sell bitcoin if price up. Sometime we need lose for make learn and have strategy like this.

Bitcoin is a long term investment and you need to invest for long term process as you will need to buy Bitcoins when is low at market value so that is much achievable and easy to buy it. Then after that you will wait for the time when the demand of your holding coin increases with the increase in demand so that you can sell your coins then for making profit. On the other hand you can do trading with coins for short term in order to get little profit. Bitcoin is a good for long term investment and is long term trusted store of value.
