Post a thread or reply on a topic. But make sure every time you post make it quality and helpful to other. Because I read the new system in this forum activity and merit is required. Smerit is given by community to us to be rank up so they will do that if they found it worthy. Means dont be like spammy this forum and wait until some see your quality post

I also puzzled by this matter just yesterday. I also newbie, answer is below, get activity up to post topic and online time.

here is activity calculate rule:

How is forum activity calculated?
Activity is calculated with the following formula:

activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

From my experience while in this forum, to get Activity you have to comment or post a topic, for the calculation itself only 14 activity will be counted every 2 weeks so if you post 20 comments or topic then only counted 14 for the activity in 2 weeks.

How to gain activity?

If you want to get the activity, you have to post to bitcointalk. If you post more than fourteen in two weeks, your activity only increases by fourteen. So every fortnight the activity will increase by fourteen
