KNC Jupiter faulted ASIC [Hardware Failure]

Just walked into the data center where I had set up my Jupiter that arrived last Friday and realized that it had turned off!
I tried turning it back on and no response at all.  The fans on the Seasonic X 1250W wasn't even spinning.

I got worried.

I took the following steps to troubleshoot the issue and realized one of the hashing modules has failed.

-   Power on BBB by itself without hashing modules – ok
-   Power on BBB with ASIC#1 module – ok
-   Power on BBB with ASIC#1 & ASIC#3 – does not power on
-   Power on BBB with ASIC#1, ASIC#4 & ASIC#5 – ok
-   Power on BBB with ASIC#3 – does not power on
-   Power on ASIC#3 only – does not power on
-   Power on ASIC#3 without Arctic cooler module – does not power on
-   Connected PCIE power directly to ASIC#3 power connector – does not power on

Just sent a mail to KNC to ask for a replacement ASIC.  Hope it can be done instead of replacing the entire unit.

I hope I'm not the first HW failure for KNC products.

Had a DOA board on my day 1, got replaced in about a week. Averaging 550-575 on pool since the new board, unlockallcores(Did it 2 times, second after a good cooldown and result was a bit better) and 0.96 firmware. Give them a call, should either get advice on how to fix or a RMA number for replacement.

Already tried updating firmware? Seems to have revived other dead boards as well. Not sure if it will help you as yours currently does not even power on.

I'm running 0.96 prior.  Had it upgraded from 0.95 which came stock.

I did the enablecores on Saturday after I knew about it.  Everything was running smooth till today when the unit just shut down.

Bad VRMs maybe?  I'm not sure.

Anyway I'm mining with 3 ASICs now while waiting for a response to my email.  Tried calling earlier but it was < 9am Swedish time and the call just dropped on me.  I might call again later.

Won't be able to update anything as once I connect the PCIE power to the faulty ASIC, the unit won't come on at all.

Sigh...
