These coins are now sold out! Thanks to everyone for making this a successful first try! Keep an eye out for more coins in the near future. Hopefully they will be even better!

I've always wanted to have physical Bitcoins, but Casascius' were too expensive and too valuable for everyday use. Currently the cheapest Casacius coin is worth BTC0.1 BTC at face value but it costs BTC0.45, although it's made of silver, which helps. Still, I wanted normal coins, like quarters. In fact, I even wanted to make a poker chip set out of physical Bitcoins, and I still plan to do so. Unfortunately, $0.25 was still a little small to make physical Bitcoins worthwhile, so I opted for a BTC0.01 coin, which was worth about a dollar when I started the project but slightly more now. As I started working, I came across serp and his physical Bitcoins. He has helped me out a lot throughout the process, and my coins are very similar to his. My goal was not to be fancy at all, just cheap. I started with Casacius' aluminum blanks, used a weatherproof aluminum label to print on, and added a scratch off hologram to protect the private key.

This first batch includes a total of 48 coins, although they are not all of perfect quality and one which I redeemed as a sample. I separated them into three groups, firsts, seconds, and thirds. The firsts are the best and are almost perfect. All the words are visible and the labels are close to centered. The seconds have a tiny bit of the Latin phrase cut off but it is still readable. The phrase means "All things obey money," by the way. The thirds have a tiny piece of the firstbits cut off, but even they are still readable. All coins are fully loaded with BTC0.01. You can check the firstbits on the blockchain if you want. Here are some pictures to help you see things better.

That last picture is the sample that I tried, and you can see the sweeping transaction here.

This first batch took quite a bit of labor and such, so they are a touch expensive in that they're double the FV, but the cost per coin is still quite low, at just BTC0.01 over FV for the firsts. Here is the full pricing:

Firsts (0 available): BTC0.02 BTC0.019
Seconds (0 available): BTC0.018 BTC0.017
Thirds (0 available): BTC0.018 BTC0.017

The thirds are the same price as the seconds because I don't really care if they don't sell. If no one wants to pay BTC0.018, I'll just keep them and play poker with them someday. I'll throw the redeemed coin in for free to whoever makes the first order of 10 coins or more.

Shipping is BTC0.04 BTC0.03 to the U.S. for any quantity. If you're international, we'll have to talk about shipping.

If you're worried about trusting me, just check my ratings on #bitcoin-otc or just speak to me on the channel.

You can PM me orders or post them here, any questions, let me know.

Who, me?

I know how the hologram works. All I'm saying is that I only want gold/silver coins because they'll still be of value after you use the hologram.

I meant the OP.

They're not as secure as most other coins, but they're not meant to be. They're meant to be cheap. Serp's coins were almost identical.

I know, It's just that ne could be yours, redeem them, resticker them and sell them/ trade them. Just a suggestion. kudos for cheapness though.

Just a note to potential buyers: a couple of these orders were canceled, so the availability numbers in the OP are still valid. Feel free to place an order based on those numbers.

The numbers refer to firsts, seconds and thirds. Those are not batch numbers, they are measures of quality. The seconds already exist, they're number 2 in the pictures, and you can buy them if you want, let me know.
