People usually feel a bit wary of putting a big "rob me" sign around their necks. It's maybe not a huge risk to say how much you're holding, but it is a risk, and seems to have no benefit.

+1

Plus, if they choose to reveal their identities then journalists would love to stalk these people, we've already seen bits of that happening already.

Yeah, I'd echo the sentiment that it is not wise for anyone holding a decent amount of coins to be posting the details of your holdings here. There is simply nothing good that can come from it.

I would recommend just buying whatever you can afford at the moment.

1870.  I had over 2300 from mining and from my shops but I sold about 500 to buy a car.  Its turning out to be the most expensive car I am ever likely to own.   Cry

I have around... let's see... 0!

I'm considering buying more, but even if I did, I could only afford one or two.  Not likely to make that much of a profit.

Then again, I said the same thing when it was at $2...then $8... then $30... then $80... then $100...

I know it sounds crazy but I have this strange idea that most people on the board here are miners with a stash of at least 1000 to 10,000 or more coins.  It is interesting to see some of you post things like 0.001 or small numbers.  Are you serious?  You can get .12 a month just advertising at the bottom of your posts here so it seems that you are all just making that up.

I am not a big holder.  Wish I was.  I have more than 0.1 though. Wink
