What's going on with the selection process here?
I'm seeing genuine Byteball fans with a posting history to back this up being left out in favour of bounty hunters who probably couldn't give two shits about Byteball and will dump their Bytes for a few satoshis.

this is a very good point. i also do not find myself on the spreadsheet. hell i even own the byteball web domain in my country and i have been left out with no reason. this is probably an issue that we should take directly with the team because there seems to not be a logical explanation for some of the people left out. hehehe..and i am the first one signing in for the campaign )))

Seems weird to me too, not that I care much but I have been left out too and I used byteball signature for almost a year (for no reward at all) and I'm invested in byteball since it started. Also the campaign manager's price for doing this is pretty insane - at least back in august it was - when I wanted to do a signature campaign for BB and thought outsourcing is the way to go.. but then I reached out to him and got shocked at the price. For that price he should be able to verify everyone's post, every day and instantly accept those who are BB advocates since its inception. The 25 post / week to me seems excessive but if you think spamming the forum is the best way to spread BB, well kudos then but I really doubt people will have meaningful posts with such absurd minimum requirements.

this is very concerning ... there needs to be legitimate reason to leave out known posters and supporters of byteball.

I notice some strange choices here that I am hoping is down more to taking on too many sig bounty campaigns and not investigating thoroughly enough rather than something more worrying.

I as a byteball holder would rather see these known and trusted people on the sig campaign over those that are not interested and will dump the byteball straight away.

I would like to see well considered reply to these queries here else this will need further investigation on a more wide spread level.

I have heard allegations of bounty managers only listing those who agree to kick backs and other such devious means.

If a person is over looked or left out when they are a known poster and supporter of a project there should be in depth and complete disclosure of why that was. The selection process can not be random nor can in demonstrate any obvious unfairness.

Bounties are a large part now of the minting in some cases so absolute transparency and fairness there is essential not to taint the entire project.

This is a serious matter.

Guys, I think you have two ways here. accept the decision of campaign manager and continue on or you can try to talk to the manager about what you need to improve to be eligible to join on his campaigns. accept his answer without hard words.
I know Yahoo has to manage Byteball campaign from the beginning, and if Byteball team decide to hire them again, probably they are satisfied with his own work. Also, he manages a lot of campaign, and have a high rated reputation. It was due to some kind of work, not because of his pretty username.

What price are you using to convert USD to gbyte? According to various online prices shown I believe I only got around 133$, when I should have got $150.

I used bittrex exchange for rates. Some ppl had bytes sent to the exchange and sold right away i'm sure, dropping the price a bit. Rates were offered so high to combat that a little. If you're unhappy with the rate you are not being forced to stay

I am not unhappy neither am I protesting about anything. I am happy with the way you have calculated payments and have trust on you. I just wanted to know what is your source of information for gbyte price.

If there are not valid transparent reasons for his decision then this could be a scam and he could be a scammer.


It works like this.

1. Bounties now make up a considerable proportion of the minting in some cases. Therefore unfair treatment of persons during a sig campaign is unfair distribution.

2. Unfair distributional methods means the project is a scam as we know.


Until full and transparent disclosure is given for at least each  hero and legend that have been rejected (and members of lower rank if they have a good post history) that looks to have a reasonable post history and even more so if they are know BB community members I will be branding this person a possible scammer. What reasons would you have to deny these persons entry? makes no sense for the project. If it makes no sense there is generally something dubious about the actions of the person.

I will contact any project using this person  and notify them of this behaviour and if they still choose to use this person I will brand their project a scam.

Any sensible project that does not want to start off with the taint of a scam will avoid this this bounty manager.

I will also make a full thread dedicated to these suspect decisions and will direct any projects I notice interested in his services to that thread with the full knowledge they are hiring someone who will taint their project from the offset.

Not being able to be part of bounty campaign is like not being able to mine or take part in an ico there must be clear and transparent rules for all.

I only hope Tonych will look into this before it becomes a main board issue.

Obviously there is a slight language barrier between us. So I will not respond to your incorrect interpretations of what I was saying in full.

But to simplify the matter.
 

1. sig campaigns are part of the distribution process - if you do not consider sig campaigns part of the bounties that is up to you.
2. the distribution process needs to be fair - not just in terms of amounts paid but in terms of fairness to have access to partake.
3. It means nothing that he has good trust if there is clear observable demonstration of unfair treatment of person on thread for all to see.


so it is simple

1 observable unfair treatment of persons to partake in distribution process  .... 2 observable unfair distribution of tokens equals scam or at best unethical unfair scheme....


I will be calling on all those that feel unfairly treated to pm me and message others that feel they have a valid reason to feel unfairly treated here and let them know to contact me and post here.

I wanted to touch on a few issues that i'm reading in this thread. Obviously I am seeing users who are not accepting decisions very easily. The users that are selected are at my discretion. If Tony wants a certain user added, he is free to message me and we can work that is at out. Otherwise it is MY DECISION.

I don't normally give a response to everyone who was passed over for the simple fact that I would be answering those inquiries for weeks on end per campaign. Everyone who is denied is generally in 1 of these categories. 1. Not an active poster 2. Alt account found on the alt list located in the reputation section. 3. Shitposter 4. Spammer or burstposter 5. uses account for giveaway claims and twitter claims only.

I will explain examples of 2 users who have applied in this campaign.

Here is 5 of majestymages posts on the 1st page of his posts profile. A whole ton of 1 liner trash. he has been active 6 whole days of the month
march 3rd 4th 7th 19th 23rd 24th



Then User boombooms activity just on the 1st page of his posts goes feb 10th, then a 2 week break and he posts on feb 25th, then another 2 week + break and posts march 12, then a few posts on mar 14th, 2 posts on the 19th, 1 post on 21st and now active a lil whining in byteball thread

I'd like to think i'm doing my job just fine
I have been doing this for awhile
I dont make any damn money hiring users who arent going to qualify weekly
so of course im looking for active accounts in order to make the job worth it for me.

I'm not trying to just be a dick to everyone. I am trying to pick the most active people period. I don't know who has or has not been a faithful byteball supporter the whole way. I only pay attention to projects when I am working on them. If you or your account was active and posting well, you'd have been selected. Don't go shouting out complaints that are your own faults.

It's good that you followed up the criticism with an explanation of how you operate, and if tonych endorses your methods then people can complain all they want, we know the outcome.

BUT, I wonder if Tony does in fact endorse your methods, byteball had/has a different vibe to other crypto, no ICO, no hype, no pump groups, just a novel distribution idea backing up a coin with really great tech. If you don't follow BB then maybe that's why you're surprised at the reaction your decisions got in some cases.

I for one appreciate you honestly stating you favor high post people because that's how you get paid, and you don't really know or care who are supporters of this coin, but I actually find that attitude disturbing, and really wish this had been a community run sig campaign.

Banning long time supporters of BB from further distribution after moon airdrops were cancelled because a pro sig campaign manager who doesn't follow the coin community history or vibe thinks they won't post enough for him to get paid, well, that's really depressing the shit out of me!
