holding is the best thing to do this year. The mrket value of most altcoins are having difficulties at this moment due to the continuous down trend at the beginning of this year. Selling would result to less profit and is something that is not advisable. But things are not the same, not all altcoins would be worth jolding for a long period of time. Make your own assumption and decide whether your holdings would still be worthy.

Bounty payments are paid as per ranking, I think since you are a junior member you have got less number of coins and pay. If you rank up and get high pay you can get more coins. I do not hold more than 5 tokens, because there is no point in this. Many of them still remain tokens that do not go to the stock exchange, while others simply depreciate and hang constantly without movement. Choose a perspective for the future and wait for happiness.

If the person sells his or her coins while the price is low then they will lose their money. Holding is the only option to make money from there.

I think the optimal period for hold altcoins is 1,5-2 years. Most likely, bitcoin ETF will be accepted only in 2019 and only after this institutional investors will be able to invest in the cryptocurrency and somewhere by 2020 there will be next peak of prices for the cryptocurrency. A lot of coins will be out the markets. The coins that are old still have volume though, so that is nice.
