Please re read the 1st page of the merit thread. Once you have read the thread if you understand the problem with this post please punch yourself in the face - come back here and post a picture of the damage and you may get some merits.

if you do not understand the issue then ask someone to kick you in the bollocks - lock your forum account and go join the ETH forum

The merit sources have a stash of sMerits which gets refilled every month so that they can distribute it as well. You dont need to bother about it because you are not a merit source (I am sure of it).

Merit have dried up in some parts of the forum, altcoins especially. But that is just how it is now. Merit does have some flaws, but the biggest is that it should have been there day 1. Rank gives better signature reward, but ranks should tell us something about the members and their knowledge. I got a long way for Sr member because of merit, but i would say that is correct. Sr member should have more knowledge than i do.

The credit you are referring to is the Genesis of Merit

People were given sMerit corresponding to their rank. (As well as the minimum merit required to maintain their rank)

Please don't call it that. (And it's sources that get sMerit, not everybody.)

obviously OP is not a native english speaker, he probably misunderstood the merit announcement
as I understand it you mistakenly think everyone will receive sMerit every month, No... not everyone
does anyone receive sMerit? yes, but we only generate 1 sMerit automatically for every 2 merits we received
although there are some members designated as Merit sources not GENESIS OF MERIT
These Merit sources get limited number of new sMerit out of nothing every month
