Actually, the truth is different. Everyone has till now realized that the bad and false news that the media is spreading is just that false news.
This bad news is actually promoting the cryptomarket. They are delivering the contra effect which they didn't expect.
Even more, investors are being involved in the market and all have till now learned that the holding after buying is the best solution.
Crypto cannot be compared to the FIAT because that is lowering its value in the eyes of the holder.
Growth will for sure come and investors are aware of that because they have already seen the crypto potential at the end of 2017.

While it is true crypto can't flourish without new people entering, there is no reason to believe this would happen. More signups are happening every day, and it takes time for people to navigate the markets and figure out what they want. Crypto has gone into a POS & MN phase and people are cashing in, investors as well as coin dev's. 2 coins in the last 3 months i know of where the dev dumped and walked away with pockets filled with money and i'm sure there are more coins this has happened with. Well, I can say that this is actually a real thing that is the problem of most of the newbies in the crypto world, most specially the greedy ones that see this as their one way ticket to be rich fast without that much effort. These type of people are really more likely to lose a lot than to really earn a lot with all the advantages that the crypto world currently offers this generation.

Now, all though I do believe that some promoters really do promote some shitty projects just to fatten up their pockets but I also believe that not all the promoters out there are like that, some really still choose worthy projects to promote and to support. The only thing is, every investor will have to go beyond his usual time frame in searching for great investments. Which is why a lot of patience is important and hard work.

Actually, we have seen a lot of ICOs, even recent ones, that have raised 9 figures in US dollars. There are also some ICOs that are sold outs as well, although their hard caps are rather much lower than other ICOs. All businesses require new and recycled customers to survive.  This is not unique to the ICO/Crypto space.  Money always finds good projects and the cream will rise to the top.  Investors have to be more selective and the bs projects will not survive.

I think everybody here in crypto worl already know the risk of investing in crypto currency.   It is not just like a regular job that after you render your service you have a definite income.  Here, you have the chance to earn, but there are also time that you encountered losses.  But why people is still taking that "risk" in crypto market?  Simply because of the possible income they can get from it that is much greater than their income from regular job.   With crypto currency volatile in nature, we are all aware that the cryptocurrency is not always in green days.  There are times we suffer from red days as what we encountered for the past weeks and months.  But upon tracing back the history of cryptos specifically bitcoin, even how low its price dump, it always recover.  So, there is no point to become pessimist.  Instead, you should understand deeply what the nature of cryptocurrency is.  So, you can be more confident about investing in cryptos and ICOs.

Yes I agree with you regarding to buying and selling cryptocurrencies are scary to some but I think it is scary only for the newbies. You are talking about trading and not investing in crypto. People are mistakenly know trading as investing​ which is far different. Trading is what you are describing while investing was buying some token to support company even if it's a utility or security token. Market is down for the longest time in the history of crypto. And a lot of speculations arise that crypto will fall. Investing into cryptos are really scary this time because most of them has no working products and only rely on the investment they get through their ICO sales.
that's why it's very tough competition between the new crypto projects this year due to there are already existing projects and some group of developers are trying to offer more services than the existing service that were already in the market.
we cannot simply invest on new crypto projects that has no working products and that's why I really don't rely on their ICOs because when I do invest on cryptos, they should bump first the coinmarketcap.com and hit invest beecause they had already proven that their project is working and effective.
