Look up the algorithm of the alt you're interested in mining in. If you want to pick a good alt to mine, you can go to Whattomine.com

Most profitable alts can be mined with the Claymore miner, so I would honestly look into those kinds of alts.

1. Find the mining pool address and note it.
2. Make a wallet and get your public key.

Open up the config file and edit it such that you insert the mining pool address and your public key...

3. Click on the .exe and you're good to go. Just leave it and you're set.

Of course, this is a basic how-to. You have to fine-tune Claymore's config for your GPUs so that you can maximize your profitability.

PM me if you're interested in my signature space.

If you can to start altcoin mining there are more videos at YouTube you can check, first you have to decide which altcoin you want to mine than you build the mining rig.

I assumed you already know about basic like said :

basic requirement
- you are at least knowledgeable or have a computer technical skills

2. start a build your Rig (especially the recommended Motherboard and PSU). sure, you have a problem when setting Rig and you can report again in this forum.

3. learn about the profitable coin, many tutorials in this forum.

4. not enough for writing all the steps must you learn. Only there is, what you learn then practice what you learned. Step by step.

I think this what can i share :

1. Looking for what coin you will be mined. You can check it on google, about the average hashrate required for that coin. Or for simple way you can check : www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator.
2. Should know what GPU to use, about the hashrate of course. You can check at www.miningbenchmark.net

points 1 and 2 are closely related

3. How much GPU to use.
4. Pools and scrypt for your coin. For example i use claymore miner, or you can use nicehash (more easy to use)
5. Motherboard and PSU, especially PSU must be 80+ gold at least.

happy mining...  Wink

The very first , which I feel is both the most important, and overlooked is...
STEP 1. Ask yourself 'why' it is you want to mine.

Then post your answer here, because I am betting the advise you get can be very different depending on how you answer this very important question.

you are at least knowledgeable, but mine is not effective by trade,
The first is the knowledge of what it is mining and how to mine.
Both capital, with this capital you will be directed what tools to mine.
Three broad insights about the group of miners.

i'll suggest you, before start mining try to learn about mining. instead of buying rigs build your own rig. try different algos according to your hardware.

wrong. i met a lot of stubborn ppl with loads of cash, that don even knw hw to install nicehack2 / get exodus running.
i charge them 50 local currency for every kind of installations  Tongue and they pay for it
learn how to google 1st instead of mining

Spending more time in research then establish what mineral or metal to produce. Also check the price and what is the trends. And the location if it is convenient to electricity because sometimes we cannot fully depend on generators/ solar energy so that you will not have a problem towards the machinery.

Thank you.

Before you start mining Bitcoin, it will be helpful if you understand what is meant by mining Bitcoin itself. Mining Bitcoin is a legal action and is carried out by running the double round SHA256 hash verification process to validate the Bitcoin transaction and establish the security that is required for the general ledger in the Bitcoin network. The speed you mine Bitcoin is measured in hashes per second.

If you want to start mining with automated pool and so without a personal computer or server that runs 24 hours a day i recommend you :

Simple Pos Pool referral https://simplepospool.com/?ref=cyborg78

Stakeunited referral https://stakeunited.com/nataliya87

Stakinglab referral https://pool.stakinglab.io/ref/eda39eaee8

I have tried all three and I am very satisfied with their service, try and let me know!

1. How many computers and graphics cards do you have access to?

2. How much of a budget do you have?

3. How much time do you have?

4. Are you new to mining or already have some skill?

5. Do you want to mine one coin? multiple coins? new coins? big coins?

===

I started mining with BiblePay (a CPU Mining Only coin) on one PC,
then eventually added it to a few more PCs, and later invested into buying and building another CPU PC.
I started small, expanded to what I had access to and then invested into some more hardware.

OP only wants to know how to start mining. You can suggest how to do it including device needed. If you are ASICs haters, you can recommend GPUs, simple.

-OP
A lot of suggestion has posted here, So you can start with knowing it. Started with basic knowledge, technical and so on. Feel free to come back here when you get in trouble.
