Hey guys back in about may i re-installed windows but i backed up my wallet to a usb which i lost xD So i ran Recuva deep scan and found some wallets that's date matched mine and they recovered fine but when i run them in the litecoin client it says they corrupt or something :/ So i was think what if the wallet was actually ok but there was updates to the litecoin client which made them unusable?

Hi, I can't help you with the wallet recovery as I don't have the knowledge, but may I suggest you a better place to keep your cryptos:

https://mcxnow.com/

It's one of few exchanges that was never hacked and it's fully programmed in C++ for that matter.
Just use Google authenticator with it so you couldn't get hacked even if your PC is being infected and keylogged.

Yes, trusting your coins with a third party (who has a history of scamming) is surely safer than maintaining control of them Roll Eyes

Updates to the litecoin client don't make the wallet unusable, that would be counterproductive to say the least.

Sounds like the wallet was not fully recovered.

I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject, I have no idea if this would work.  But is it possible to use a hex editor or something to find the private keys?  Then import them into a fresh wallet.  Might work as long as the wallet is not encrypted.

Pywallet is what you are thinking of. I have used it many times to correct wallet problems.
