Op I hate to say it but your posts are poor, this is a shitpost. You really need to want to improve the quality of the forum to rank up. This will mean educating yourself in the English language further, but don't worry it will not be for no results, as at the same time you can read the forum and learn about bitcoin. In the 3-6 months it takes to improve your English skills you will in tandem become a Bitcoin expert (notice I don't include Altcoins or ICO's there) when you come back to posting if you take my advise you will gain merits at a rate similar to the current activity ranks - so you may be 6 months behind but you will not be limited by merits.

If you don't understand the concept then my post is wasted on you and the merit system was integrated to purge posters like you, if you do get it then great I have indirectly assisted one shitposter in converting to a quality posting member of the community.

There are a lot of competition topic about Merit, if you feel your posts are good enough, you just need to report your post in these topic and you'll receive Merit for your posts, as I remember actmyname also run a topic like this, you'll get 20 Merit if your 20 rencent posts is good enough )). Stop complaining about Merit anymore.

I agreed, OP's posts is more similar to this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1116027 with a topic here in meta section with "only 5 merit to member!!!"  title which mostly contributes in bounties and some posts with one and two liner posts like to the OP.
To OP, yes it is sad that merit existed because it is now more difficult to rank up, but it is worth it. Making constructive posts (with English language) WILL NOT ONLY benefit this forum but also will benefit ourselves. Just try to understand.

I am sorry but I disagree with it, I don't think the solution for not receiving merit should be reporting your posts. I have lost count of the posts I have made supplying links to videos, websites and useful articles that were the answer to the question being asked. I didn't receive any merit for it.

I am 100% in agreement that the quality of the posts should be improved, but the wrong method is being used, and it is a method that can create a little "mafia" of a few people who agree to merit each other, even if they publish plain BS.

I have already being contacted on Telegram by fellow forum members asking to exchange merit "to help each other out" and I told them I am not interested in playing dirty tricks just because I dislike the merit system, so I know what I am talking about.

A better moderation is what is TRULY needed: not a system left in the hands of the members who could just end up allying themselves for their own benefit as I just said above and exchange merit that is not really deserved.

When I say better moderation I mean something like "if you post crap I will delete your post and give you a warning, and if you receive more than four warnings for the same reason (posting crap) at the 5th warning your account gets banned PERMANENTLY".

It's just that plain easy. This current merit system is unfair to newbies and is the best fuel for creating "mafia clans" among members.

So, although the problem is real the wrong solution is being adopted.

In my opinion those people are either alternate accounts of a banned member or maybe account farmers.
If you are here to earm money by spamming the whole forum then i doubt anyone will give you merit for that. But if you put effort into the post you're going to make.

What is new in this topic except the [NEW] that you used in the title. You are just repeating what has been told here multiple times already by a number of members in the meta section. There is no harm in opening a new thread about merit system but it should be done only if you something new to add.

Even expecting some merits for your posts is not bad but do not let is affect your post quality negatively. You should put more effort because of this instead of just copying what worked for a member in past.

all of these latest policies do have a positive and negative impact. The positivity prevents spamming while the negative impact is hard to get a higher rank. So try to make a quality post and benefit everyone

I am also agree ,the merit system isn't preventing spamming.It will create another platform,where who have more merit can sold their merit and the one who is merit source can give the merit to their fav member or what he will like.

There should some other parameter also to generate the merit like after some time,there will automatically credit some merit.but UR post is good then u can earn early and improve ur rank early.
There is also some benefit for giving merit to others.

Your words sound like the merit system released difficult requirements so that you are not able to earn merits by yourself. Can you really make a high quality, constructive thread to earn merits? If you can't, you should leave the forum and find somewhere else that is more appropriate for you and has more comfortable rules. Merit system was created to control spammers to rank up to higher positions in the forum. Therefore, there is no probability that Theymos will give each user specific number of merits based on their time spent (online) in the forum. It doesn't make sense and violates original objectives of merit system.
It will never happen. Please forget it!
Merit system has changed and will continue changing the forum, control spammers  and let them stucked at their current low ranks.

Sir...I have seen your post on some threads and it seems that you've been putting some users to ignore if they're shitposting. I just want to ask, does putting them into ignore benefits us? Or its just yourself? Because if it is I'll also put some accounta into ignore especially on some sections that I've been visiting that has so many shitposters.

Proof that merit system doesnt prevent spamming. Everyone now will be making new thread duplicates, copy-pasting articles, hoping to get some merit off of it.

yes with a merit system in the controversy, there are happy and many are not sika with reward sisitem, they have their own reasons, the reason that likes the merit system will reduce spam, while those who do not like the merit system because many are trapped in pringkat. it all depends on the respective assessment
