Hello fellow community members,

Recently I saw lots of people announcing new altcoins. They're planning to launch ICO soon. But I was wondering if we should invest in ICO with proven business which will reduce the risk of our investment or go big with ICO project that we believe in but it starts from zero?

The trend of ICO is everywhere and lots of SCAMS is happening. Therefore, viewing ICO from risk management perspective is also important. What do you guys think?

ICO with existant product is better ofcoarse, But there are many ambitious projects that just cant afford to create a product without fundings, and its very important to support such projects even with little investment!

Agree, therefore the people behind the project is also important. Those people with the proven business model have gone through a hard time and that's what makes them successful, especially when they cannot get funding as easy as launching ICO. Don't you think?

In my opinion, the previous experience and success of the team are essential when choosing ICO for investment.

Of course, sometimes a very strong and successful team is formed on an "empty" place. However, investments in such projects still involve more significant risks than investments in a project or a team with a history.

As for ready-made existing businesses that attract additional funds through ICO, in my opinion, this is a more reliable investment than in a young start-up. But in doing so, it is also often a less profitable investment. At least in the short term.

For sure previous experience is a great indicator of success.

For example telegram ICO, Durov is great humble guy and can be trusted and absolutely will achieve great succsess,
BUT if majority of investors will fund this ICO, will it be very profitable?

On other hand i will give an example of our ICO - UNIFY World Revolution, which is total oposite.
Its not bussines targeted, team is fully anonimous, and success percantage is a random number between 0 and 100
BUT investment of 100$ can turn into milions.

So it all gets back to the idea, if you like the product you should invest in it

It is safer to invest in an ICO with a product but it's the ones that start from zero that gives you the huge returns on investment.  They may start at zero but if they meet every step in their roadmap, the price will usually rise at every step.

At present, many ICOs come for money. The project has no real progress at all. Good projects are always scarce, and many are bad projects.

for me if i want to invest in any ICO i will choose to invest in that one which have already started something before and is already being known because such ICO is always bound to success.. it will be very hard before you they will fail in their project they will do all their possible best to keep the name of the existing project so by so doing it will yield us the investors a good return.

Of course you must go with an ICO with proven business, at least it has something that they already showed to the community. Unlike in an ICO that will start from scratch, there's no assurance of success even though you believe in it. But if you are really eager to support that ICO, it's up to you if you will invest, just study and research carefully before taking the risk.

I will prefer to go to the project that has proven business rather than an ico that was starting from zero and i guess what? It can encourage the more investors to joined in the ico rather than ico with zero value.
With a working business and that can attract the more investors. At the same time that gives the more guarantee for us.

That proves if the developer is very competence to runs an ico because they are successfully building a bussines.

In most of the cases, ICO which starts from 0 is more likely to grow into a PR oriented project. You can see the concepts and blueprint everywhere with celebrities' endorsement, but the only thing you can never see is the actual product. Tongue

The trend is so strong, everyone who just entered to this crypto world will have the perception that joining ICO & buy the token at that time will bring lots of profit while in fact, the risk is so high. What if the token is not listed on the exchange. That will be a dead investment.

But those who have stayed in the industry long enough, have a proven business, they got connections and will make sure that the project successful or at least not a total failure or scam.

I personally will choose a proven startup for the performance of its product not just whitepaper but does not have a working product.

it's safer to chose ICO project that has a proven bussines running on track, but better check throughly since there some ICO who claim that they already have a working product but in reality it was just a promotional way. in reality it just some site they pay to increase the credibility to promote their ICO.

If it were me, I would choose ICOs that were proven before the risk from ICOs starting at zero. First, I had to make sure my capital was safe and profitable. Then by experience, my guess I will choose the new interesting ICO to invest.
What do you think?

As an old saying, action speaks louder. I know some services that provide writing services for the whitepaper. I think a company should write their own whitepaper, therefore, they can explain their product in details. Agree with what you said, some whitepaper doesn't have a working product.

I like both of those projects, this is how to choose between the untwisted coin and almost unknown. Not all projects are able to have enough capital to create their product, but they are more risky in terms of investments than those already on the market with their product and platform, but from this they are no less attractive.

many ICOs are coming this year and they are just thirsty for money, it's getting harder to find a serious ICO project and it's easy to see a bad ICO. but if ICO succeeds it will indeed make an unexpected profit
