ICOs are getting attacked and banned everywhere, ETH is dumping hard

I think Ethereum is a very interesting and promising project and it worth more, but we shouldn't forget about the competitors.

ETH main use should be as gas for the platform, even if now is mainly used for ICOs to raise capital.

When Ethereum platform will scale properly and many successful Dapps will be built on it, we'll see the real usage and value of ETH (with the corresponding 5/10K $ valuation)

Out of curiosity. What is the actual need of all this coins? Do we really need that many?
Wouldn't it be best to just use ETH instead of all those shitcoins?
I mean you need to convert ETH to shitcoin, transfer shitcoin to other people who will eventually convert it back to ETH.
Hence sending ETH directly would save a step, i.e. low tx fees.

there are millions of people out there with basic programming knowledge and the need for a lot of money. that is why we see lots of altcoins and lots of tokens of these ICOs. they just keep creating useless thing after useless thing to make more and more money and as people invest in ICOs, new people will see this potential of earning "free and large amount of  money" and want to create their own ICO so the number of them grows exponentially.

but i do believe that they may grow in number like bacteria but also they will die like bacteria as their number grew too big!

ICO ban has a slight effect on the price of Ehtereum. The reason why it is down because bitcoin is also down and it is also a scenario with all the top altcoin in coinmarketcap. If you  believe this you will soon regret selling it once the market recover.

ICO based on ETH technology indeed were very promising that most of people has been tempting to being an investors but the main cause too many ICO banned is some of ICO are change being scam which makes a lot of people already lost their money but indeed these banned will have strong influence for upcoming ICO and no wonder if ETH price are dropped following another altcoins too

Unfortunately, given the skills of social engineering, which are constantly evolving, to distinguish the real ICO from the scammers is very difficult. Google, FB, Twit went on the path of least resistance and banned them.

Bans in the main information sites will not affect the creation of new ICO and support the old. Just going to be a more or less stable development.

Well due to ICO scams the government and other social media sites are issuing a total block for ICO Ads to lessen the scam rate in crypto. This affect ETH really hard since most of the ICO are in eth smart platform thus it is really hard for eth to be pumped.

No bro banning ads will not have significant effect on quality icos, secondly ethereum price is following a cycle after severe peak it is finding support so big correction is normal and also bear market is putting its effect on eth.

It is hard to say if that is the reason eth dumped so hard , every coin is down a lot at this moment in time. It shouldn't matter in the end , most ico's don't need the amount of money they are asking for. And a lot of good coins started around here with no ico and no marketing that have grown out to decent coins.

It is not so, but even if it were so, what's wrong with that? ETH is top1 coin for ICO.
ICO is not the only application of ETH smart contracts.

Maybe ethereum can go back a lot lower, if enough people feel think so we will get that lower price.

I do not think that there is any relationship here. All coins fall, even those that are not associated with ICO at all. And ETH is not a leader in the fall, I think your idea has nothing to do with real processes.

ICOs arent the reason why the ethereum's price pumps,its morelikely its stability in the market and these ICOs doesnt have any connection with ethereum's value.Morelikely those big players holding ethereum from the past didnt put their money back to ethereum's because the lightning network of bitcoin is coming and these big players only wants to play safe when it happens.

The mindset of the big investors are unpredictable too,and they are trading with a lot of fundamentals,and i see that the upcoming lightning update in bitcoin's core will be the reason why they didnt put their money to ethereum when the market has recovered because they knew that ethereum might be dumped as soon as the LN is implemented.
