Developer talking about how this coin will change to be ASIC resistant: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1169-bitcoin-scrypt-btc-information/page-31

Plus the network hashrate going up AND the price going up.
I'm loving this coin right now. haha.

See this getting some exposure. I mined it months ago and thinking about jumping back in. The Cryptosphere is much more open to allowing new ideals today.

Bitcoin Scrypt has all the things i care about when choosing a coin.

1. It's scrypt(decentralized - and devs and community understand the importance of this)
2. It has major brand recognition(good or bad publicity is good for holders)
3. A chance for ppl to get in early -just as the early adopters of btc did(at the cost of risk).
4. The dev is more than competent and didn't even have to think before responding to a question about how to handle Asics.(quote "The algo will be changed and it will be forever ASIC resisted")
5. A community that is growing at an unstoppable rate. I like the new simple logo

New info site for Bitcoin sCrypt: http://theotherbitcoin.com.

Looks like they really are embracing decentralization to the fullest...

Any information provided in my posts is for educational purposes only and is not to be considered legal advice, but you already knew that.

So, what's the point on this? Is it just a copy of Bitcoin? Why would someone mine it?

I like the decentralization with ASIC-resistance. Mining it.
The pool needs some tweaking though. Goofs up in reporting correct state of all workers. And where the hell is the manual payout button? Grin
