wow, so we hit 500$/3000CHY this morn!
got me thinking about the Monday 18th meetings-in the forex trading world i dabble in, this kind of huge steady increase in the days before large announcements/discussions that have a large impact on the affected currencies' value is due to a leak on the info to be announced...
maybe were seeing buy ups because the US is about to give it a thumbs up. because its the chinese buying doesnt necessarily indicate much. OR maybe because a lot of the buying is outside of US it indicates the US investors know its going to be bad news and are waiting for the crash...

not much help am i Tongue

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

As much as I want to believe this and hope this is the case, if you look at the behaviour of other markets prior to big announcements, what you usually see is a pre-emptive swing in one direction, then as the announcement gets made a huge swing in the opposite direction, its basically traders exploiting the opportunity for some quick fast gains in the market.

Granted there aren't any actual decisions being made at these hearings, but it'll definitely have a big impact.

Eventually.

YES, And the 300$/btc will buy a tank of gas in France.

at one time a guy paid 10,000 btc for a pizza, the day will come when ya can buy 10,000 pizzas for a btc

that guy should kill himself now

You do realise that without people like him, your Bitcoin would be worthless today?

If this post was useful, interesting or entertaining, then you've misunderstood.

The question still remains..  Do you think BTC will hit $300?

It's now something like $580 and rising steep. I know want it to drop so I could buy, but will it ever do that?
As soon as it starts to drop even a bit, people start buying, not selling - so how can it really go down?

Another waste of space thread. Those replies look dumb in the hindsight and show how little one can predict. People keep trying to apply classic rules of totalitarian economy to something that is designed to counter it. It will never stick. Nobody knows how bitcoin will behave. Same people who last time when it lost value managed to sell on top and did the same now can clearly see this. Since I got into this I decided to buy it and keep, not speculate on it. What will be the future value of bitcoin is more philosophical question than economical one

Bitcoin cannot be controlled. It can only be speculated upon.

Ony time will tell if under $300 happens. So far there is huge demand so I dont see the price go under $300 this month

You mean $700+? It already passed $600, and will probably stay above $500 for the rest of the year.
