My biggest mistake in crypto-currencies is that I heard about them in 2014, but began to study actively only three years later. I think if I joined the crypto community before, now I would have had a lot of experience behind me. But it's never too late to start.

I heard it at around the same time as you and started to learn it(bitcoin). But to my regret, I never hold my bitcoin for a longer time. I sold it whenever I got profit and mostly the profit wasn't so high.

My biggest mistake was to refuse join Bounty last spring. I heard about it, I was really very intrested, but i supposed that i had not enough time to start. So, I wasted time and suppose it to be the biggest mistake.

The greatest mistake that I did was about last year. I joined in an Ico project which is very promising and so as the reward. But after the project was finished, we participants had a lot of hard time talking with the managers about the reward that it took them a long time to show the spreadsheets and to give the payments. I work hard for that project expecting a good payment since they accepted all of my reports. But right after showing us the list of the payment, I'm very disappointed. That project sucks! and so as the managers!

Accumulate Bitcoin. The bottom is in or near it.

Well there were a few "mistakes":

- First mistake I made was, that I bought Bitcoin back in 2011 and stored them at Mt.Gox. I used them just for buying stuff in the Darknet and never tought that they would be something for long term investment. I lost all of them after the exchange closed over night. So --> Never store Coins at an exchange!

- Second "mistake" was, that I bought "not enough" Ethereum back in 2016, in my opinion. I know, if you let the greed take over, there is never enough...--> If you are convinced of a project/coin/token, invest as much as you can spare

- Third mistake was that I invested ~ 150 € in PACcoin, which was cheap and there was a huge amount to buy. But I didn´t made any research, and now I know it is more ore less just a scam/dead coin --> simple: always do research before you invest in a coin/project/token
I agree with you, trading platform only to exchange, when need to hold for long times, need to withdraw personal purse to ensure safety!

It seems that my involvement in crypto investments happed much later that it could be if I started investing just after getting know about crypto. It took to much time to see real potential and perspective. That's my biggest crypto mistake!

December 2017 during the high of highs, I made a huge mistake, I allowed greed and fomo, ignored my gut and bought into NXT because I was chasing Ignis airdrop. The coin has since tanked and I still have not received the airdrop. Nxt is probably 80/90 down.

What is your biggest cryptocurrency mistake???

A lot of people have made several mistakes,  i made a mistake the first time i traded on the exchange,  bought a crypto coin in the morning and sold after 15%, only to see 500% in the night of same day.

In 2013, I traded on the BTC-e. I kept money on this exchange.
I did not use two-factor authentication.
Once I went to check the balance and I felt sick!
I was stolen by the 0,565 BTC.
The worst thing in this situation is that after this I left the world of crypto currency and returned only in 2017.
You understand how much profit I lost!

Do not keep money on the exchange. Use complex passwords and two-factor authentication!

My biggest mistake is that I did not sell my assets in January 2018 when they cost three times more than now

My biggest mistake so far is to sell my bitcoin's when it was at $15k not knowing that will hit $19k but i have bought back from the $6k so its not that too bad because i gained more bitcoins buying at the bottom, lets hope that bitcoin will going to bull run again so that these altcoins will grow to whenever these bullruns happens it shows positive outcome for the altcoins.

What? You sold BTC almost 3 times higher than you bought and think it's a mistake? I wish I had that mistake, really  Cool I wanted to sell some at 18k but I don't know why I kept holding. Now it's obvious that that growth was abnormal. Plus, I bought too many alts during the bull run. That was my mistake as well. Although, I haven't lost that much in the end in terms of BTC. They grew a lot at first but now I'm at the starting point, even lost a little.

The biggest mistake was that I used to sell tokens that I received for bounty immediately, if I did not do it, then maybe now I would have much more money than before bitcoin started falling.

in hindsight many people feel same way but if we evaluate mt. gox hacks, shitcoin scams, pro longed long bear market, btc value down by 80%, then people who entered a bit late were on a safer side of wild west crypto trading,  i remember the exchanges were so shitty that nobody won't even mention their names in the public now look binance is on the headlines of tech magazines, things are better than ever, although i do get that opportunity lost hurts but if you look through the pain of yesteryears it will bring peace. many people who traded actively in 2013/2014 are nowhere to be found on the trading scene as most of them got rekt. i am just offering a prospective tbh. better late than never.

well
big mistake .
i have more than 10 big mistake, the only i remember when i buy about 500k TRX with 3,2 eth on etherdelta.
then i sell too fucking fast , actually i can get x10 or 20 or x30
but i am too hurry to take x2 profit.

sad right ?  Grin

You can't be too sad about that, you still made a decent profit. Yeah, you could have made a ton of money if you would have sold at the ATH, but nobody knows when that will be, so in my opinion you made the right call.

True, as of that moment it would be the best choice and its not like you know what will happens next in the market. Its your choice to take risks or play it safe which I think there is nothing wrong as long as you earn some profit and not to mention knowledge and experience that you will carry on throughout your cryptocurrency venture.

People talk about investing but shy away from the profit taking time. Imagine if you had taken a good profit from bitcoin last december and now reinvesting. My basic challenge is knowing when to take some profit which should be a targeted value for any investment

Biggest mistake isn't really involve into my own personal investment but rather an income came from to a bounty which it significantly increase its price into its 1st month. I do almost earn upto $30k in all the tokens I do earn but my greed do keep me on holding still until the day comes on where it do drop from 30k-2k price which it really makes me regret why I'm too dumb and let my greed controlled me into those times.

I do not know whether i can call this a mistake but most of the times i used to sell the coins which i have purchased through ICOs are sold well before it reaches the maximum valuation and i have done some blunders in the past as i have sold the tokens a few months earlier well before it is reaching their full potential when it comes to valuation and hopefully i wont repeat these mistakes in the future.

This question really picked my attention. My biggest cryptocurrency mistake is that I learned it somewhat already late. And I have the biggest disadvantage from those people who began crpto earlier than me. I mean I haven't earned any profit from crpyto that is why I consider it as my biggest mistake. Nowadays cryptocurrency become more popular specially on its golden year which is last year 2017. Wherein the Market Value ballooned in an uncontrollable figures. Which make me regret learning it a little bit late because I could really earn from it during those times.

There are a lot of people who have gone wrong, going to the top of Crypto in December 2017. I also made the mistake of buying NEO for $ 127 and I think it keeps going up but the opposite. Has happened again.  Cry Cry Cry
