I joined alot of bounty and some of them are scam, not paid. I lost alot of time.
I think you shouldn't join any bounty with
Poor participants and high payment. ALMOST project  with high token value are scam.

After of that, I think you should check the forum page of the campaign and spreadsheet of the bounty to see if the campaign is managed by good managers. I would base your bounty choice on if you would use your own money to buy the coin and how much is on offer. for example research the token/coin for a strong use case and product, strong team, good, marketing, large support (ie telegram)
