The market value of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency depends only on demand from the market so that what happens on demand will reflect the value of Crypto.

No one really knows why Bitcoin continues to fall. the high odds it has to do with the market demand, of course this is really scary especially for those who invest with high prices.

Those who make bad news about bitcoin for wanting to buy bitcoin and altcoin for a cheaper price.

I'm sure it will not take long for all Crypto currencies to bounce back.

It seems to me that the demand has decreased now not because people have lost interest in bitcoin. Many rich people wanted to save their money with bitcoin. This is a huge amount. But the government's attempts to control the turnover of cryptocurrencies can break these plans. It seems to me that this is the main reason for the fall in prices. Does anyone else dream about legalizing bitcoin?

bitcoin price is still dropping because volume of seller is greater than buyer the more seller want to sell their bitcoin the lower the price may bitcoin be. but once this weak hands and impatient holder is over in their seeling spree expect price of bitcoin to rebound and may start the bullish season

Not just the prices of Bitcoin, but that of Bitcoin Cash and the other alts are also down. I suspect that the Mt Gox trustee is still dumping the coins from the stash. The last time I heard, some 200K coins were remaining to be dumped.

Nobody knows the real reason, but that's the nature of the crypto market. There are big drops and there are big jumps. No one can predict them with precision.  Smiley

As far as i know prices are fluctuating like dropping and bouncing back within $8000-$10000 over this period what we call correction period. This trend will continue for some time and after that comes the bull run which will boost the prices but don't loose patience stay calm and just hodl for the long term. You can see the price graphs for last five years and you will understand the thing. The prices have gone down due to google banning crypto advertisements and some of the panic selling over this period but it will rise after some time.

That's what bitcoin really is,  not only on bitcoin but in all of Crypto currency out there.  Some other says, the price of bitcoin has seasons too.  Let's say in this month, bitcoin is down,  which is I like the most. This is a time to buy bitcoins because its price is cheap. And after the end of this season,  the price will rise again.  Passive rising point is $12,000 and above.
Everything in the crupto is has advantages,  and  disadvantages.

Hi,

There are many reasons that can explain the decrease.

One of them is that the rise was so huge in last december that now people have chosen, at least for a while, to be more careful.
Another reason is that a large part of the community is still waiting for the price to be lower before buying. Just because buying low ensure potentially higher profits!

So this is all quite logical. Wait and see!  Wink

I think the reason for the continuing decline is that some countries forbid bitcoin and some well-known social media sites are also planning to ban crypto ads and more recently google. with that it would have a very bad impact on the market and cause a lot of panic.

That's the problem, rich investors are moving away because they are seeing lots of negative feeds about bitcoin, and instead of placing their
money to invest, they are now looking for some other ways to divert and hide their money, bitcoin can be a bank of our owned hands and we
can hide our wealth but if the government continue to war against crypto value will continue to differentiate.

I think we are still in altcoin hype, investors seeking more aggressive investment (i.e. altcoin). When they realize that 99% of them is waste of money, they'll turn back to bitcoin. As long as there is no bad news in bitcoin

Do you expect the price to just keep on going up forever? Bitcoin went through a double bull rally last year and you still aren't satisfied with it and think why the price is dropping and awful right now. The price of bitcoin will keep on dropping until the market thinks is the correct price of it.

Think Bitcoin is giving us challenges and opportunities. Maybe it is currently down and of low value. This is the time for us to accumulate Bitcoin. And I believe in the future it will increase again and have a higher and higher value. That is our chance to get rich, it is more daring and dangerous. However, on the path to success there is no footprint of lazy and safe

This is a great idea and I am impressed with your thoughts. I think people should think optimistically like you. Everything happens for a reason and I still believe bitcoin is challenging our persistence. Professional traders always have the patience and they never fail to beat the bitcoin challenge.

Generally, BTC is still on a bullish trend if you look at from a multi year perspective.
Dec 2012    $13.00
Dec 2013 $600–$1,000
(I couldn't find 2014/2015 that quickly)
October–November 2016 $600–$780
December 2017 $10,000-20,000

I think the parabolic growth that occured end of last year was simply too exponential. Hence, it's a very normal (and healthy) situation that BTC prices correct themselves.
Also, BTC/crypto is a very new asset. So it enjoys a lot of scrutiny from regulators and media which, in combination with a very unexperienced customer base, creates lots of volatility in BTC prices. In time, this will get much more stable, similar to older traditional asset classes.
