Diversification is important to reduce the risk. I experienced it by myself. I remember when the first time i'm in crypto back in november last year, i started with $300 to invest and was about to put all of my capital on powr but then i decided to invest in another altcoins to reduce the risk and my choices goes to btx, nano (formerly xrb), tron and sumokoin. Powr and btx price was decreased sharply but fortunately nano, sumokoin and tron mooned in late december - early january and turned my $300 into thousand dollars. I would have lost all of my capital if i put all of them on powr that time.
