Well I do know people who have been called crazy when they got into crypto. Now they are the ones laughing as those that made fun of them try to get in now at prices much higher than years before.

Obviously there are risks if you are just in for some quick bucks. Those are the people that say they "lost" their money

I dont talk about it to anyone anymore because the negativity is too much.
I am confident they will all be proven wrong in the not so distant future.

Those same negatine people may end up looking to get into crypto in a few
years when they see the benefits.

No need to bother proving them about bitcoin if they don't believe it then that is OK it is their lost, If they will spread FUD then prove them they are wrong by spreading positive thoughts about bitcoin, If your family member will told you to get a job instead of getting involve with bitcoin then show them that you progress with bitcoin, Maybe one day they will change their minds.

You can't prove all of them wrong because there will always be some people who dont belive in bitcoin and will  call it a scam, a ponzi scheme or a bubble. That's not happening only with bitcoin, in almost all investment some people belive they are good while some people think they are scams. For example forex, I think it is a profitable investment if you are a specialist in doing this thing but a lot of people think that the odds are not in ypur favour and forex trading is something like gambling wich could be if you are a newbie and invest in everything you find.

I just ignore those people and keep doing what i do on my own, when the time come to prove them wrong, let's rub it in their faces. For now, just hold it in and don't listen to their banter about bitcoin.I'm sure we will not be affected by them in the slightest, just focus and wait for our time to come.

I think a lot of people around us has told us that Bitcoin is a FAD or a SCAM or a Ponzi scheme.

Some of our closest relatives have told us to SELL before the BUBBLE will burst. {guess we hear that enough?}

The media is telling everyone that Bitcoin is the tool of criminals and terrorists and child pornographers and paedophiles.

Most of these people are not invested in Bitcoin, but it looks like they are looking for reasons to attack it.

How many of you want to prove them wrong? I sometimes look at these people and I think... WTF are you on about?

I believe we can't treat every criticism equally.  Instead, it's important to realized that there are some valid concerns which need to be taken seriously, while others are based on simple ignorance.

People claiming that Bitoin is a fad, scam or Ponzi scheme, certainly don't understand the subject well enough but will eventually realize they are wrong.

Whether bitcoin is currently experiencing a bubble is debatable. I have seen well articulated and well reasoned arguments pro and contra.

Bitcoin (and more so other cryptos) having the potential to provide alternative avenues for anti-money laundring and criminal financing, is undisputed. Whether it's USED for such activities as much as some believe is another question.

As long as all criticisms launched against bitcoin are treated as hostile and attempted to be proven wrong, as long progress in converting opponents into proponents will remain very slow. With a more differentiate approach to responding to criticism, the conversion will be much more effective and faster.

If there is anything I want more, its this as I have come to start exercising some serious constraint in telling people about bitcoin because everything you painted here is what I have experienced at one point or the other and I think I have been witnessing some amount of calmness which is something good because of the downward trend in price. While I don't want to shame others for not believing, I just want to have the feeling 'I told you so'.

They are actually not at fault and I don't blame anyone as it takes the strong hearted individual to survive in this world and because people by their default nature look for the easy way out and when that is not happening, they look for someone to blame that's why even when I manage to get someone who is slightly interested, I only point the way rather than convincing or mentoring in that direction. Its going to get better, that is my wish.

I feel you. But the last few months I actually started talking more about crypto again, at least with those that actually showed genuine interest beyond trying to get rich quick. Some people actually ask the right questions (ie. pretty much any question that isn't about the price) which is where I gladly help out. Some people are slightly misguided, but they'll learn. Some people simply don't have an opinion on crypto and that's ok as well.

But then there are the ones that simply can't be helped -- the unreflected ones, that either a) blindly throw their money into whatever venture promises the most profit or alternatively b) utterly dismiss cryptocurrencies out of hand, unable to see technological innovation when it sits right in front of them.

I feel bad for the first, to be honest, because they are the ones that will get hurt the most but ultimately rightfully so. In the end they might take their lesson though.

The latter will always bitch and moan regardless of whether crypto fails or succeeds, so don't waste your time on them.

Many people don't understand the value of BTC!

They only know how to make money and buy BTC at the wrong price at the wrong time!

Then blame others for your mistakes!

Time will prove them wrong!

Above all FUDs the most extreme one was the child's porn  Angry it baffles me how some people could try to create unnecessary reasons with things that shouldn't be jokes. If whoerver that was creating that FUD had used any other thing its okay; at least anybody are free to say or think whatever they like but child's porn is a big NO. Some kids whom are still starting on with bitcoin may read another meaning to it.

Yes, of course. I've been waiting for that for a long time. Attacks on bitcoin are rife when bitcoin prices are on their month and information media continues to attack bitcoins and to be honest I'm so sick of what they say about bitcoin. Gradually they will realize for themselves that their negative thoughts about bitcoin are wrong, I'm sure of that, they will regret with their assumptions.

It wouldn't ge a problem for me to hold on my investments to prove newcomers as well as the newbies that the drops are manageable and normal. After all I have been holding coins ever since I started investing in the cryptocurrency industry. Because out of all of us the newcomers are tge ones that are very easy to manipulate, and to scare most especially. So to guide them away from this, I'll hold on to my bitcoins until the market goes green.

I am just waiting for the price to start stabilizing and start climbing back up again so I can watch all the people who panic sold their coins in the bear market gnash their teeth and wish they had held on to their coins. Then they will just start FOMO-ing money back into the market again at that point thereby increasing the value and price which means more money for us holders.

I think that's the right thing to do, you just wait on what happen to bitcoin not by making some fake news and other negative feedback on bitcoin to ruin its popularity, so we just need to be patience and accept bitcoin on what it is today.
