Let's wait until there are multiple sources that can be verified.
If they legalize it, it would def be a very positive signal for crypto.
However, based on the past behaviour of the Chinese government, I'd assume they tend to favor control; hence, China launching their own state issued crypto coin/token would be much more logical.

If it is true, well that is the great news to us. All we know, China is one of the richest country. It gives advantage in crypto world. I assure, after that legalize, the bitcoin will increase again.
We all know how news from China affects the General state of the market. Good news from China could contribute to the growth of cryptocurrencies. All we have to do is wait and watch.

According to https://t.me/oneminute_crypto_news which translated the source from Sina, a Chinese media website, that in a conference held by Chinese official web media, People's Web, a famous scholar Dong Yang released that Chinese SEC is conducting the legal research to legalize the ICO and the ICO will become a legit tool of crowdfunding soon.

I agreed that Dong Yang is not a high-level official and he is a professor at Renmin University who is active in the crypto space. I think the focus of the news should be:

1. The Chinese SEC is revisiting the crowdfunding tool;
2. The so-call legit ICO may actually become a tool with heavy regulation in the cryptocurrency space.

So, please wait and see.

I think that the real headline of this should be centering around how China is willing to revisit the ICO into which they may be seeing that it can either be utilized and that the initial kinks and problems that they have seen can be orchestrated into a much more better system that they can use. That also is not a certainty is a welcome news for us because they might have seen positive traits and are willing to look at this with all seriousness

I do not think that after many bans, the Chinese government will change its decision. This news is exaggerated.

We hope this becomes a reality, since we know that most of the people who handle cryptocurrencies come from China and that the ico would have potential investors if it comes to this, we hope what will be the response of China and what regulations will apply to the ico .

I can't believe in Chinese new right now because in the recent months they are causing the price of bitcoin to go down drastically and now they are saying they will legalize ICO soon? Maybe it just a bonus and I really don't expect them to do it.

If China reaccepts bitcoin and ico, that would be good news for bitcoin. In 2017, the Chinese government banned bitcoin, and the entire encryption market fell rapidly. It took two months to recover. If the Chinese government reaccepts bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will rise.

I think this is the answer to the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2148605.0
on that thread, it was written that China banned ICO. and now we have an answer.
I hope this news is true, not just a fud for pump and dump.
ICO's is not actually banned they are just regulated and legalized just to prevent and reduce scammers to scam new investors they don't want to let bitcoin affect because of this issue.

Look at the facebook and google they also say that cryptocurrency is banned to advertise in their website, but when I was searched and found from google forum that they are not actually banning cryptocurrency to advertise, they are added a new policy, which is preventing scammers or fake project to advertise in their website because there are many fake projects out there and abusing the free credit from google ads and facebook just to promote a fake ICO project.

FUD's is everywhere they are spreading this just to let the price of bitcoin or altcoin down so that they can buy at a low price to get benefits when the price increases back.

Ico's ban affects the development of Chinese block chain technology!

Financial regulators may allow ICO projects to raise funds through regulatory schemes. Excellent ICO has great development prospects in China's huge market.

Yes, China is a stupid country.
They first banned ICO and crypto-currency markets, so if they could tax them in the future, they would be able to reopen the exchange.

China is not a stupid country. They banned cryptocurrency and ICO's due to uncontrolled situations. The case of Money Laundering through cryptocurrency became rampant and many have been victims of hoax ICO's. China did not hate cryptocurrency nor the ICO's rather they thought that they are not yet ready and so they stop all operations and start doing some study. Possibly their study is already finished and they will soon lay out the rules and regulations that ICO's need to comply before it will be allowed.

Yes, maybe they are already doing some implementations and requirements before they will allow ICO's again, might be possible that they will
assure that their people would not be scammed again and also making sure that they will have much greater power to make sure that they have
rules and laws to protect those investors residing to their authority.

Why can't you reproduce that article here for everybody to read. It is a fake news without no iota of truth. China decision on ICO and Blockchain is very important in this current market and I believe, any news of such nature will be broadcast by major bitcoin news portals.

No body should take this news serious or discredit it, rather we wait and get the official communique from the Chinese government to confirm or deny thenews. But if it is true then it will really boost the price of Bitcoin in future.

Sources are of course not very reliable and far from the real government. This is more like a simple economic study. But the main thing is search! Imagine how good it would be for the entire market to be recognized!
