You're correct, citizens from the USA, Cayman Islands, North Korea, Somali, and Yemen cannot participate in the Verasity Token Sale.

There are many other reasons why someone might fail KYC. For example, our KYC provider might not be able to validate their information as the documentation they've provided is not clear enough to be read. There could also be warnings set against someone who has been flagged as participating in suspicious financial activities etc.

Since this is a temporary delay in sales, I think investors will not be diverted from their participation in the project. The part that has already participated in ICO certainly will follow. Well, the  bounty campaign is likely to be  opened together with the second round of sales of tokens.

Looking forward to their new game plan. Complex situation for many ICO companies, but as long as they reach soft cap they can get started.

No, they paused their ICO token sale due to bear market. They think that they will be more succesful when crypto market will grow again, I think that this decision is good, now many ICOs dont raise enough money because current situation on crypto market is very very bad.

There will also be more projects later on seeking for funds so the question is whether the situation will overall become better for individual projects and I don't think so.

It seems to me that the team will continue to search for investors not only by means of the sale of tokens. Well, in any case, I now see the partnership agreements that help develop the product.  Perhaps the team will be able to find investors from large Fund. Time will tell.

A large fund might close funding gaps, but at at the same time they will get favorable sale conditions and they could dump and exit the project quickly.

Well, why not. It will be possible to watch advertising or make micro-payments to the author and watch content without advertising. I understand that this is how it will work.

I prefer investing in channels. So you can create a very good passive income. I will use this opportunity.

I also don't see any limits concerning the opportunities of a decentralized video sharing platform, but the fight against the incumbents will be hard.

Without a fight the big participants will not give up their positions. But I think that with the availability of quality services, the team will be able to get support from users. This will be the main definition of the platform quality.

An absolute pleasure! Our team has been working in video distribution, online advertising, and video content for a long time now.

Can I ask what were you skeptical about?

One thing which some people pick up on is the fact that we're not doing decentralized video distribution.

There's a couple of reasons for that:

1) Decentralized video distribution works great for viral content but it's not been proven to provide a good experience for a global video library at scale. A library that will inevitably include niche videos which may never have enough users seeding to allow them to buffer properly.

2) It can be incredibly hard to take illegal content down on decentralized storage systems. We're building a platform that large media brands and AAA advertisers will want to be on and they simply won't adopt a platform that's full of copyright infringing content or terrorist videos.

3) We want to roll this product out and scale it quickly - we know we can do that using a high-powered CDN.

That's not to say we're not being pragmatic and in the future if decentralized video distribution is proven then we may start to adopt a hybrid model or move to full decentralization.
