Well I personally think Ethereum has a lot of room to grow. The reason it has not been showing a lot of volatility is due to the bearish trend.
Now that the trend is reversing we have already seen ETH jump from $1100 to $1600 lately.
After the PoS change in Ethereum, many companies are showing interest in it since it has become more scalable than ever.
Keeping the debate, aside talking about ETH price I guess it wasn't a wise idea to go bullish right now on it after all.
Even BTC is having a good resistance around $23k. Lets see what February has in store for BTC and ETH.

Yep, gambling and sports betting are completely different things. I can believe the fact that a user can make a profit from sports betting regularly, especially if he is sufficiently well-versed in a particular sport. However, the same can't be said about any gambling games, as it's impossible to make money from them in the long run because of the house edge. I had 3 losses in a streak with the maximum winning probability chance of 94,06% and got rekt anyway. The odds are always against the player, doesn't matter how benefical they seem at first glance. That is why we should play only with surplus money, so nasty unexpected losses won't affect our budget and emotional too much. Never gamble an amount of money you don't know how long you are going to take to recover it.

Sorry for your loss, multiplier game is a really treacherous one. It seems everything is under control, until it suddenly isn't anymore. In my case it was 1/10 of a btc lost and I already felt a huge pain in my heart, now I can't even imagine how it feels losing half btc. Yeah, you're right, the final odds for Tsitsipas are 6.57. It could make sense if you want to protect your bank roll, because the volatility is very high when you place bets on such high odds. When you undergo a bad streak with 2x odds, you will hardly lose more than 10 times in a row. But when you undergo a bad streak at such high odds as 23x, you can easily lose more than one hundred times in a row. So even if you only bet $5, you can lose more than $500.
By placing counterbets you will reduce this volatility. Moreover if you hold FUN tokens, you will get a bigger cashback because the total amount you wager will be higher.

Honestly, freebitcoin has a scarce amount of sports betting. There are only bets on upcoming soccer games, while bets on other sports are absent at the moment. As for me, this is strange because the regular seasons of both NBA and NHL are in full swing right now. So if freebitcoin had a desire, they could add a lot of bets for sporting events because these leagues have pretty dense schedules, and games take place almost every day.

ETH was around $1550 yesterday while writing the post and for it to go above $1750 it should have increased by 15% at least.
Now that's a huge spike to be achieved in just one day. Although not impossible but still very tough.
Anyway, I have lost the bet since ETH was in the range of $1500 - $1750 at the time of snapshot.
But no worries as we still have a long way to go and I might recover the losses in the February price prediction bets.

You are also right in that! I didn’t do the calculations but thought there would be more profit left when you would place a counterbet. Best option to counterbet was probably by watching the match live and hoping that Djokovic would fall behind as the odd would go up a bit.

Considering how the BTC reacted and how people bet on it, I think the same should have been done for ETH as well. If you thought that btc would go up, you should have considered ETH would too, because they move the same way.

I know that it is not going to be something major, I know it is going to take a while before we could consider that as a big deal, but that doesn't change the fact that we are going to end up with them at different stages of increase. I personally lost, because didn't see it go up like this, but at least failed in both coins. But if I wagered any higher, I would have done it for both of them at the same time, not just one of them.

For the event with only 2 possible outcomes (either of the players wins and there are no draws), with odds of x23 for one and x1.2 for the other, you would have an amazing arbitrage opportunity with a guaranteed ROI of 14.05%.

So if the odds were correct, you could just throw a larger stake, to enjoy decent profit, virtually risk-free. So yes, it would make sense.
