I think it might be from the Bitcoin user factor that makes it a trading asset more than those who actually use it as a medium of exchange, because the relevance of Bitcoin itself is still minimal, so its use has not been spread among the wider community

bitcoin slowly went down this year, from almost 20k USD last December and went down at a significant price

what might be the reason why bitcoin's price is going down?
what are the major things that can greatly influence bitcoin?
answers would be fully appreciated Smiley
I guess it is the people who are just get their target or their minimum profit in investing in bitcoin so they just sell their bitcoin and it has a possibility that they will buy again the probably the bitcoin's value will increase again so we will just wait Smiley

Traders and people who like crypto are the main forces that driving the price in the market. Then other forces come out like market treds and user behaviours. Whether or not they will sell/buy their assets.
Agreed, traders and users make a big contribution to the price variation of bitcoin. Apart from this there are different other factors that govern the price of bitcoin. One thing important is the positive news related to bitcoin leads to growth while the FUD generated by the large volume bitcoin holders manipulate the price upward and downward on their own needs.

I think the cause of drop of the price is because of the wrong news that spread of other people or we should say fud news that may cause of panic selling of others that not to much know the strategy in the market.

I think negative news can affect bitcoin prices, as many sellers become panicked, and bitcoin prices are falling, as bitcoin prices are set by the market.
Rumors are always spread by your competitors and these are cheap market tactics for beating up your opponent. These kinds of things are many times done by technical and development teams of altcoins and I think real bitcoiners are well aware of this. The point is that we don’t deny the bad performance by bitcoin at times but they do exaggeration of the problems in order to make new investors panic hard.

negative factors such as media publicity and hype such as government bans or negative policies of bitcoin, market manipulation and panic selling. Technically the legal supply and demand that will determine whether the price is either low or high

Yes, you are right. Bitcoin price decline from the beginning of the month is very drastic. Bitcoin dropped many times from its highest price. I also wonder why this decline is so drastic. Yes, it may indeed be many investors who sell Bitcoin at low prices so that the price of Bitcoin really reaches a very low value. Then I think because it is also affected by the number of countries that recently banned the use of Bitcoin.

I think that affecting bitcoin is the demand and supply in the market. If demand is so high then bitcoin prices could rise as high as in the year 2017 yesterday.

This is really a disappointing effects on people and as a long term trader my focus was really destructed by what's happening in the marketplace right now. We couldn't encourage people to be courageous, and despite of how we motivate them through positive speculations nothing will happen but panic really pulled the price off.

The most important reason Bitcoin prices can go down very drastically is that more investors are selling Bitcoin than buying Bitcoin. They sell Bitcoin because of panic Bitcoin prices go down and when they sell it only causes Bitcoin prices dropped dramatically.

Some claim that bitcoin's market price is affected by the whales who are moving out their bitcoin's from their digital wallet causing the market cap of bitcoin to collapse and so as with its market price too. As to people who also panic sell their crypto assets during crisis, they are also making the crisis even worse. That's how the price of bitcoin is and it's completely relying on people's demand.
This is the truth, there is an investigation going on in terms of market manipulation and majority of times the Mt Gox team is selling off the coins in huge numbers and basically there are more sellers in the market and that is affecting the price and i am sure they do play a part in this market situation, the amount the coins from their cold wallet moves there is a panic situation and people are selling off their coins fearing for another major correction.

Demand affects the prices. A rise in the demand for a coin raises the prices and a fall in the demand reduces the prices. Both the demand and the supply determine the equilibrium position in the economy and the economy will always stay in the equilibrium when the demand and the supply are equal. People demand a particular assets only if it can give them return so return determines the demand.

The major factor is the demand of any market that affects the price of a product and in case of crypto world the coins are also demand dependent. The price will go high if the demand goes high and the price will go down when the demand goes down. This is the major factor controlling by the encouragement and discouragement of the people, if people are encouraging then price will go high and vice versa.

Bitcoin movement is very sensitive to the actions of its holders. When a person buys or sells Bitcoin in large quantities, then the price can instantly move extreme. In the future Bitcoin volume increases and distribution is distributed evenly, then volatility will slack off by itself.

that's a good question that even me want to know it answers . but i think one of the things that affected the most the price of btc is the big amount of miners
The more phenomenal bitcoin, so no wonder if many who wrestle profession as a bitcoin trader. This is the factor of rise and fall of bitcoin prices significantly. Traders will buy large amounts of bitcoin at a low price then store it for some time, and will sell it when the price is high.

Bitcoin's astronomical rise in 2017 paved way for a lot of new stuffs in cryptocurrency world, such things as Bitcoin Futures -which inadvertently has contributed immensely to the below-9k price of BTC this year and even more recently, the whole FUD and heightened expectations from G20 meeting scheduled in July would be a huge milestone.

I have learned bitcoin as to why this value is not always high is the reason for those who invested in bitcoin and in addition to miners selling their bitcoin and its effects reduced the value of bitcoin.

Usually it is the FUD that is affecting the price of bitcoin. Usually when there are negative news around related to crypto the market reacts negatively and there are also speculation that maybe whales are manipulating the price of bitcoin because they have the capital to do so.

We are still waiting for the right time when Bitcoin finds positive sentiment. Various news that exist today does not show that Bitcoin will get good news. But we must still believe that the future bitcoin will get various support, as long as we continue to use bticoin then it is expected Bitcoin will continue to increase. So do not ever be pessimistic because it will make things worse. Bitcoin prices can get recover when we are getting routine use it.

The world continous oil price increase, the economic recession, worldwide market inflation, the wars against nation to nation, all of those will surely strikes bad effect to the market and currency value will depreciate and weaken, maybe some factors not mentioned yet may have impact too, but i guess these are main reasons for the market fluctuation.
