Only human need Radiation protection, not the hardware ^^

When I visited SWISS, I noticed that almost all apartment complexes had concrete bikers built right into them Wink

There are a ton of bunkers in Switzerland, thanks to a somewhat weird law that there has to be bunker-space for every inhabitant in the case of a nuclear attack or an event of similar magnitude. Some bunker complexes are small towns, being able to house thousands of people with facilities such as churches built in.

@Icoin,

Is it nuclear bunker, like this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hack_Green_Secret_Nuclear_Bunker ?

You should make photos of facility http://glari.ch/node/9 - there are only 3 photos of nothing...

@Icoin,

What do you mean "Decentralization roules!" ?

And again, I'm asking, is it nuclear bunker? Or simple "air-raid shelter"?

Decentralization means that the infrastructure is build not just on one location: http://p2pool.info/

It is a nuclear bunker not a air-raid shelter:

You find various examples of buildings in the above documentation.

actual a solar flare strong enough (X100+++++) can destroy all running electronic circuits via strong static electricity in the atmosphere. FYI the largest known solar flare in the mid 19th century gave people static electric shocks when touching metal and destroyed many telex and phone lines. No one can predict when such a flare will occur, it may not happen in our lifetime, but it will happen sooner or later. By the way, anything that register bits via magnetic impression will be erased (e.g. hard disks). This is not a doomsday conspiracy, humans will continue as usual......living in the caves.

Beware abitback.com is a scam, claims to pay but doesn't

For a better understanding of the swiss bunker infrastructure, here some highlights from Swiss Radio and Television:

Any redundant networking or protection against the internet borders BS that's doing the rounds?

We are working on that aswell. By now we use redundant Swiss networks that are currently avalable, but you can see at devda.ch that the next generation networking is allready in work.

Cool. I don't imagine any of the border plans will get through without public outcry but if they do the satellite links or similar could become very important for Bitcoin (for the internet as a whole but that's a different issue).
