Hi there:

I'm thinking setting up a mining server on my gaming+forum server.

there are usually 300-500 users in game and around 100 on forums.

the estimate mining population is about 300-400.

what kind of load should i expect... will it be like on the client side that use up 90%+ resources with normal setting?

thank you all

If your server is just like any server I would imagine (Linux, CPU [no gpu]), then mining would be a nightmare.
You'd be better off having other mine for in-game coins/items.

Oh, your wanting to host a pool, not a miner?
Pushpool ( http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=10321.0 ) is what you will want then, with an interface like Simplecoin ( http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=13164.0 ).
