How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.

The best logical thing to do is to read whitepaper and see if their plan is relevant in real world application thus you can gauge potential success in the market. However, scam or not, anyone can make good and very convincing portfolio workplan.
On another note, you can check for background of the dev team. Check for trust rating or reliability, check for their previous work had it been successful or not? In this way you can work  with previous team that you trust.
Also check for visibility in various social media platforms, a group that has nothing to hide have good visibility, and is more likely legit and genuine.
Best of luck

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

It's easy to indicate if your bounty turns into a scam. Usually, the payment getting longer.
The dev or team project delay the payment for bounty participants. No admin or team online also could be a sign that your bounty becomes a scam.

There are some specific criteria about to know the Bounty is scam or not. At first, You have to check it out on the developer team and website. If you are able to make understand properly then you may find it solved. it's totally dependent on your capacity.
It's true that it's really a difficult situation for finding out whether it is fake or not. their website and white paper also be a useful tool for recognizing in this purpose. so that you have to go through properly about these papers.

I think to predict scam is extremely difficult. But you should check some benchmarks at the beginning of your joining to bounty such as manager, a team, design, tolls etc.
it is one of the basic analysis that can be used as a reference whether the project will fall into the category of scam or not. the most important  we must first check the website, make sure there is no defect in it, then we see the concept, then check also whether they include whitepaper or not

The bounty is scam when ICO is scam too.
So read the whitepaper carefully, look at the main website, team members and their activity. If there are a lot of unanswered questions in bitcointalk and no response to participants requests, it is better to think one more time before taking part

I agree. This so true and hits the bingo or the jack in the pot!
Scam projects are manipulative from the get go, so don't believe everything in the whitepaper. But  also check for their background, trail record if you may.
And yes visibility is extremely important, it gives you an indication that this project is transparent and have got nothing to hide.
Welcome you all to crypto community and best of all to all of us.

It might be hard in some ways but for me to know if the bounty is a scam, you could see that there is no updates on that certain bounty, the developer don't do his job and the thread is dead already, but there are some cases that you could only tell if the bounty is a scam after its ICO, if they doesn't give you your salary then it is 100% scam.

Take up campaigns held by reliable managers. They cannot guarantee you that a project is not a scam, but at least they must have checked it in order not to drop their reputation.

They have ICO who are scam . They create bounty so their project have possible to gain investor. Better to make a research about the project of the bounty because doing a research can get a lot of information that you can know if the project is legit or not. Follow also to those people who have a large number participants because for sure they know what is better because they do research also before they join.

You do not have to choose a random project. Some projects are SCAM. Before you sign up, you have to analyze the project well. All the details are important, but the most important is the identity of the project members. Have a picture, have a name, have a history of experience, enter their telegram channel, talk to them. SCAM projects come out with something to show. If it's all just milk and honey, it's clear that it's a SCAM project.

usually if the project is long-term and there is a good team involved, then the bounty will be good. Study the ratings of the project and the composition of the team

I'm so sorry that it happened to you but it's really hard to recognize scam. Team and a product, these are two keys but sometimes even these do not guarantee you anything

There's only one solution so that the next time you'll join and translate articles / ANN from that bounty is to join only those campaigns that does have an escrow so that you will have an assurance that your works will be appreciated and the most important is that you are going to get paid.
The best logical thing to do is to read whitepaper
Reading white papers won't help to know if they are legit or not in this case since some whitepapers are just paid.

You cannot avoid scams, especially when you are facing a lot of ICO everyday, that is still uncertain if the campaign looks legit but the people behind it used fake profiles to make their exits very easy, that researching still useless that is why even these experts are getting scammed too wether you like it or not these scammers are part of the shit environment that we have.

Really that won't work if you would observe dev team or something, as we know the modern examples shows that scammers are adding random people to their dev list so that man might been a good specialist but he may even doesn't know he's a crypto developer

it is very difficult, because we will know bounty scam when bounty is finished, my advice if want to follow bounty you should see the allocation of bounty given whether it makes sense or not.

Know the team..A live video interviews or pictures of them attending a blockchain summit or conference is the best proof for me that the project is legit..Also check their past projects to know if they have what it takes to be in this field..
