nobody got the right answer to this topic so I might as well with due all shit respect share my thoughts about this one.

main point
When I discover this Bitcoin I was a clueless noob that wonder what is this shit upon searching and searching for hours I stumbled across to a forum that have a domain name bitcointalk.org oh well they are talking about Bitcoin I participated the longer I was there I learn that you can earn free Bitcoin for promoting an advertisement in your signature space wow pretty cool huh, however things didn't stay the same some dysfunctional peoples/persons started working to get their hands dirty by scamming or enrolling their hundred if not thousand of accounts in all signature campaign so that they can live the life they ever wanted.

Bottom line
My mission is to provide my knowledge to the next generation about decentralized currency that will not rely on any controlled banks by some holy moly.

Based on 70% of posts it seems that the forum is here to develop an army of 3rd world shitposters who earn more from posting here than they do at McDonalds

Yeah that is exceptionally true but this one is also a fact but working at McDonalds will give them more social interactions.

Your post is garbage and you are here just like everyone else to make money, don't be ashamed of it, embrace it, admit it and fix your english.

This forum was created like many other forums just to talk about a certain topic which is Bitcoin. If you read the URL, you will see "BitcoinTalk". Some are here to talk about altcoins which they have their own section. But the main topic is bitcoin, not to mention that many people need information and knowledge about the cryptocurrency world with various opinions. So if you need any question, you will find the answer on this forum.

To improve the knowledge of everybody here about what Bitcoin is and where we are headed. At the same time as learning we are trying to get rid of the myths and nonsense that surround Bitcoin. Only when we have the knowledge can we leverage it to further our cause. After all, knowledge is power .

You are right my friend, we are here not just to earn money but to improve knowledge as you mention. We also promote bitcoin here. One more thing what purpose why we gather in this forum called bitcointalk is not just improving knowledge about bitcoin but for all cryptocurrencies there is in cryptoworld.

Bitcointalk is a place where crypto investors can interact and share their views about this amazing technology. Do not get misguided by the name bitcointalk as at the time of launch of this forum, only bitcoins were there. It is really amazing to read some of the  posts made here in 2010 and how things have changed over the years. One can see the journey of bitcoins through posts made here.

Generally, just like any community, it supposed to get the best out of everyone and every idea in a positive way. Clearly for this forum, the early founders set out to grow the knowledge of bitcoin (and subsequently altcoins), to make it mainstream, and clearly articulate all the advantages of bitcoin. Now with a number of subsections, this forum serves different purposes (missions). People come here to make some cash through some freelance work like writing, signature campaigns, bounties etc. People also come here to seek new ideas for related bitcoin and altcoin projects, be in developing existing knowledge or creating new ones. Like I said, to get the possible best of the crypto-space.

If I share my experiences about this forum, In the beginning, I saw many posts post into the thread related to various topics. General discussion, Development & Technical discussion and Projects development tropics delivered vast knowledge about bitcoin. As a newbie, those tropics will help to understand the crypto-world. If you choose high-quality tropic in bitcoin forum, then you will see how people answer to that content. High-rank members provide best answers with their experience. Those contents include the terms of crypto-world. Those terms will help to behave in the forum. On the other hand, Bitcointalk forum has rules and guidelines for their members. Standard and quality will improve from that.

For myself, most valuable part of this forum is improving our English knowledge and knowledge sharing. It helps for poor English people like me. If you continuously deal with this forum, you will able to write a high-quality post.  Writing skills will be improved. On the other hand, you will be able to make some money from participating some bounty programs. Personally, the mission of this forum is helping the bitcoin community and sharing the knowledge with others. But nowadays many people use this form as a money-making place without identifying the purpose of this forum.
