According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

no... i mean i had bitcoins on mt gox, but sold them for cash, but it seems they don't cash out to US people. I was wondering if there is another way to redeem my cash or if i need to rebuy bitcoins and send to a different exchange

You can do a wire transfer which should complete within the next 6-12 months, maybe years... I have a buddy who's been waiting about 3 months so far for his wire transfer. Word on the street is they can process 6 wire transfers a day? something like that.

I had nightmarish difficulties getting verified to withdraw my own bitcoins from MtGox. I did nothing wrong and received an apology for the inconvenience they caused. That experience is unusual, but the international/language barrier makes communication very difficult. I would advise against it; it's not worth the headache.

There is no way to get USD from MtGox. Convert them back into BTC, transfer to Coinbase or CampBX and cashout from there.
|
If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it. There was never anything there in the first place.
