I've seen so many spelling errors in posts here, that I thought I would post this observation.
When I am typing a post, I quite often make typos, especially as this keyboard has a dodgy 'a'. This usually results in a thin red line underneath the incorrect word, and I can correct the error before submitting the post. If it isn't a typo, but a genuine misspelling, then I can copy the word, and give it to Google to check. Google is quite friendly, and it will suggest some alternative spellings for me.
Please don't be lazy, and please correct your typing errors before submitting your post. It makes it much easier to read and understand your message.

I agree with you. As for me I'm using a combination of notepad++ spell checking and google translator (not only for typos but for appropriate meaning). However there are some cases when it does not help (for example, Sequence of Tenses or Complex Subject). In such a circumstances you have to rely on erudition (especially when English is not your native language).

I totally agree with your recommendations, Talk merit! However, your recommendations will (might) be taken into considerations by constructive users. In contrast, spammers, account farmers might probably not care about this. They will keep showing their shits, their pseudo-English threads, their typos. Of course, I really hope that they will stop doing this after reading your topic. Anyway, thank you for your good warning message.

They should care, they wont rank up otherwise. Although correcting typos is a good idea, what matters the most, at least to me, is the overall message someone is posting. You can have 0 spelling mistakes and your message can still make zero sense.

This is an excellent suggestion, I agree with you 100%. The quality of the posts shouldn't be limited just to what we write but also HOW we type. I also use the same method you are using, and I ALWAYS read my post fully before I press the "Post" button. As well as increasing the quality of how the post is written, your suggestion will also help whoever uses English as a foreign language. Well done for pointing this out.

Have you ever tried Grammarly? Some of my friends are using grammarly to correct their mistake when typing, it's really great, beside it often suggest the other words with the same meaning but it's more polite than the word you're going to use. I think you should take a look at this tool, you can try to use free edition of this tool to experience to see if it's good or not before going to buy full edition.

Sometimes, wrong spelling words can lead to a different meaning and can cause misunderstanding. That's why I agreed to you OP for this one. Correct spelling is really necessary. I'm sure that every one of us here uses Android/ios phones isn't? I'm talking to those people who uses Mobile phones. If you want to prevent incorrect spellings, why don't you use your mobile phone's keyboard's feature which is "Auto Correct Spelling". I'm sure that this will help a lot of people mostly are those who don't speak or write English properly. If your keyboard didn't support this feature then go to appstore/playstore and download a keyboard that supports this function. Solved.
Another problem is, wrong grammar. I understand why some people can't Write English fluently, it is because English is not their first language and it is difficult for them to construct a English sentence. But practicing to construct a English sentence can solve the problem.

On a laptop, simply by using Word to prepare your post one can overcome most spelling mistakes. The product also suggests grammar corrections for those weak in that area. Of course, this is useful if you already have a proper language command.
Regardless, I have often edited my posts to correct some spelling mistake that I missed out, so a good review of one’s own posts contributes too.
Often we come across posts written in a language that does resemble English, but which are completely incomprehensible and seem to be a coded message of some sort.

Doing typos isn't that much a problem as I think, because some people like me who doesn't use any other apps just to correct their spelling aren't noticing it after posting but still the message is understandable and some readers don't even give a fuck as they truly understand the OP even if some words are quite misspelled. Though you have a point that misspelled words can also lead into a different meaning of the OP, so for the fact that they must expand their knowledge or even their vocabularies just to have a good quality of posts that doesn't need any correction from the readers. (If they're going to be hard on this then I think that it will not be fair as for the reason typo errors as I know are just written by accident.

From the last years onwards only grammar issue has been watched widely by the DT members and moderators but once before 2015 there is no rule such kind of that to check the exact spelling. Everyone has the tactics and own way of sentence phrasing in the posts so we may not critic that. Instead of being lazy make the error in their text. They should learn the english a little bit atleast and come here. Else they may stick with the local boards itself. Even we people also should not bother them about the bad English. We may share the tutorial or something via pm, it may not hurt the person as well. Please avoid, Google, Gingercheck or Grammerly to skip from the sentence making by own. Sometime may change the complete meaning of the sentence as well.

Typos slow you down if you are speed reading, unless they are common ones like 'color'.

Typos slow you down if you are speed reading, unless they are common ones like 'color'. This might be true but even if you're doing some speed reading, you will still read it twice or more, if you can't get to the point of understanding. And until you can truly reach what the OP means then speed reading is quite useless except if you're a great man to understand every line or sentences in just one go.

The main reason for such errors is that many English users are not their mother tongue. But it can also be that a person whose native language "English" can tolerate a bunch of errors in his text, but the meaning of the text is still very useful. In general, you do not need to focus on the " red line".

In general, you do not need to focus on the " red line". Did you understand the pupose of the red line? It underlines the typing errors that your browser thinks you have made, and it gives you a chance to correct them. Failure to do this can lead readers to think you are a bot, or that you are just rattling out multiple posts for a sig campaign.

He is a clear example of what I said, even without grammatical mistakes his post would still be totally useless.

Probably not, because those who can't write are probably not readers, and they're sure as hell not going to be focused on spellchecking their output if they can't be bothered to even notice mistakes as they occur. To those of you arguing against this, you might want to listen here. If your posts look sloppy, it's noticeable to people who know the language, and those are the ones who seem to have the sMerits to give. Can you imagine if book publishers didn't do something as fundamental as spellchecking? No one would buy their books--and that goes for any language. I've read complaints about shitty translations here, and illiterate spamming on the local boards, so I'm pretty sure the lazy ones would be just as annoyed if people started writing unintelligible crap on the local boards. It pays to be thorough here, as in life. You guys who can't use spellchecking tools will either learn that or you won't, but you should expect that you won't be rewarded for crappy writing here.

That's a great advice and awesome, that grammarly supports android phones. Many thanks. Edit: But it replaces the default keyboard. Maybe there is something similar as standalone app with interpunction check, grammar check and thesaurus. Something like Duden or Papyrus Autor.

Sorry but I disagree, correcting spelling is really important. If it is not important to you then your just like other spammers here in the Forum. You don't need to use any other apps just to correct your spelling, a simple keyboard with auto correct spelling is enough to correct those wrong spelling of yours. Yes, you were right, some people are not noticing those wrong spelling words because they are already used to read such a typos. But not because they can understand wrong spellings words doesn't mean that we will keep posting sentences with wrong spellings. It is much better and more understandable if we correct it.
