The RVN used to issue assets will be sent to a burn address, which will reduce the amount of RVN available.

ded. start over.
"nothing" and "ded. start over" are not very professional words to use though, he could have added the word "OLD" in the thread's name and posted the link to the new thread in his post.

That's because he no longer cares about the project and was only a community member. This is exactly why there's an ANN hardfork going on right now.
He looked very high during the meetup video; I'm guessing dumped some early lowdiff mined coins and then smoked it up then didn't give a fuck once the holdings were gone.  ANN thread was likely to pump the instamine from 1/3 to 1/13 they had.

what if someone issues an ICO on rvn with say 100.000.000 tokens.

how many RVN will have to be burned? 5 or 500.000.000?

Well the paper said 500. One issue is 500 Ravens no matter what it issues. Now you'll be able to issue 100.000.000 things, this will cost the issuer 500 ravens. That doesn't mean that those 100.000.000 things will be worth 500 RVN. May be worth more or less. Say bonds, you want to issue that many bonds on 1 dollar per piece so that makes 100.000.000$ you want from whoever takes those tokens. Raven is just the foundation on which you will have those 100.000.000 bonds.

The idea is very interesting. Now comes the interesting part. If this is one of a kind idea than awesome. Might take a few years till this picks up more traction but the idea is awesome. It's a combination between the value of what you want to do, the platform on which you do it while still giving you control and privacy at the same time.

Real life application... sure i can see alot of them and their examples are plenty. Now you just need people to trust in it just like they trust the $.

Say for instance WoW wants to use these. They burn 500 ravens in order to get out and endless supply of gametime cards. Now they are still worth the normal Gametime price, but they have more control over who gets them and who uses them etc etc. Of course those used gametime cards (tokens) will no longer have value but this is not meant as a platform to launch new coins.

That's how i see it. Again i see potential if it's a one of a kind. Next important part for the devs would be to "lobby" their product to companies. At some point they must also make it easier to get those new tokens or whatever without the need of a software wallet etc etc. What's missing from the roadmap is details about more wallets at some point and points of contact with this new blockchain for those uninitiated.

no mention for 500 rvn in the white paper.

Are you talking about Reavencoin being dead? Wasn't it backed financially by Overstock? That would be a crazy outcome.

No, of course not. The old announcement thread is replaced with this new thread is what it meant.

Greed of you people will be the end of Crypto...this coin looked promising, but whenever money starts appearing devs get into "fight" and leaving, splitting ect, no matter what coin is at stake...so sad

Kai wasn't a dev. He was a community member that went... weird. He was the one that made the announcement.

I recently discover this sleeping giant coin and I bought some in exchange. I'm planning now to mine some coin using my Nvidia GPU GTX1070 , I'm confused on choosing the right miner and pool to join since there is so many option. Any recommendations here base on your own experience?

well, it's not a sleeping coin at all. It's a new coin with a huge interest behind and a great team who's working on it. Anyway, actually the best miner i've ever tried is the ccminer enemy v1.03. You can find it on ravencoin lounge on discord.
