I'm pretty sure I'm missing out on a lot of good conversation because I just don't see someone has answered to a post of mine, especially when it's in high-volume thread.

I definitely can't look at every post in every thread I have posted in.

I also often experience answering someone or starting a discussion and the guy just never answers although it seemed likely for him to do so should he read the post. So I'm assuming he's just not seeing my answer in at least some cases.

I think it would be very useful to have a list of recent posts (in chronological order) that quote me.

Now, it could be that this is hard to implement with good-enough performance.

What do you guys think?

I think it would be a very useful feature to have. It would help you keep track of whenever someone mentions one of your posts, so you can reply.

If it is done when someone makes or edits a post and it checks for quotes in the post, it shouldn't be too processing intensive.

This would be very helpful. I hope this can actually be implemented.

Surely other forums have done it which use SMF?

Yeah and I heard there is a mod
But as theymos don't want to install mods he will have to code it himself

I missed this post
In this case it should be fairly easy actually
