I wish UNICEF or REDCROSS would accept crypto or create their own cryptos so whales or anyone can help the poor children using their BTC, instead of buying scam ICOs.

Illiteracy is the cause of poverty. We know a cup of coffee (Starbucks) = 20 notebooks, or a school bag, or two pairs of slippers for poor children in Vietnam.

I really doubt whales buy scam ICOs. Do you have any examples of such behavior? In most cases the scamming attempts are so obvious that only newbies can fall for that, and whales are no newbies. But I agree with you that it would be a good move on the part of UNICEF, Red Cross and similar organizations if they started accepting cryptocurrencies.

like there is something wrong with you.
if you do not understand about blockchain assets I think you should read a lot, with your questions. Can bitcoin help poor children in underdeveloped countries? here i will answer can they have access to the internet but if i can not read or illiterate i guess it would be useless if only have access on internet so what would there be expected they could develop along with blockchain i guess you should give reading lessons for them and giving internet access so they can understand the world of blockchain.
you must know everyone who wants to know blockchain or altcoin should definitely read it first before starting and plunge on bitcoin or altcoin.

Doubt that it can help, usually these countries are not well educated and probably have no idea what a PC or Bitcoin is.

I think education still is important to help those poor children in underdeveloped countries. Of course Bitcoin can be their source of motivation, but I would prefer them to be literate so they would know the basics and fundamentals of Bitcoin, or basically what its purpose is to our society. And I think if Bitcoin would still be here for a long time, yes it can help poor children from those underdeveloped countries, we just need to teach them and educate them so they would understand it.

Bitcoin is only a coin, and it can not do things that are outside the power of a coin (which can only measure wealth, not create it).
If the children are poor in dollars, they will be poor even with bitcoins.

For me it can only in this case when goverment make some taxes on every payment with bitcoin in country and whole amount will be given to childrean, for me it is not that bad idea.

The answer to your question in the title is no.

The answer to a similar question (Can we help poor children in underdeveloped countries by using bitcoin), is yes.

It's just like any other form of payment. We can all donate money if the people on the other end who are making sure that the money goes to the right places know how to use bitcoin. If they're able to get our donations and use them for the right items instead of keeping it for themselves / investing it back into the market, then yes, through us, bitcoin can help children.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Actually bitcoin can't help people because bitcoin just a virtual currency, it's depend on those people who use bitcoin. For those people who have a lot of bitcoin and have concern for children, they can donate their bitcoin to help children especially in undeveloping countries.

I do not think that poor children can buy a computer or speculate at the price of the Bitcoin.  since the currency is universal and can be used by anyone, it may benefit the poor in the following:

  • The acceptance of the Bitcoin will stimulate the local market, thus the economy is flourishing and (poverty & unemployment) will low
  • Open-source currencies will enable smart children to develop their own currency
  • The use of Bitcoin globally will enable everyone who has the talent to find a source of livelihood for him and his family(drawing, singing,...etc)

In general, the answer is yes

It can help anyone with this bitcoin let alone the children who are deficient In terms of economics we can make a little donation of the results we get from this bitcoin to donate to underprivileged children in various countries, actually without any bitcoin we can help children who are less able if we want to donate sincerely.

Africa is a good example of how people can destroy anything.

In the colonial times, they had no problems with surviving - they had to do hard work but at least they were given food and place to live.

What's happening there now? Black people got rid of white and created their own governments. Famine, overpopulation are common things now.

stop talking nonsense, you must be a person who never left basement of your home and never saw the world

Better to be very poor than to be a slave, people should be free.

I don't mean that white people are better.

you already said:

What's happening there now? Black people got rid of white and created their own governments. Famine, overpopulation are common things now.

We shouldn't give someone money directly

 Shocked

How the hell can someone be your friend or stay close to you?

but try to help with developing tools which will make their lives better.

hahahaha

You have never been to any village, the moment you become selfish and you have all power in your hand, you will have many problems. You need to know how to trust people, how to give them money and freedom.

the problem of Africa is excessive corruption, but not all African is corrupt and incompetent as you think, there are many richer Africans that you are and much smarter than you. never underestimate other people and never be a racist person.

Why are you asking this question? What is your goal?

I wish it would be different but the answer is no.
Bitcoin can't solve the poverty in the world or help the children, except only temporary through donations.
Sophisticated technology is hardly finding the way in third world countries and not to mention the lack of education. Then corruption, lack of resources, constant political instability. I'm afraid Bitcoin can't help with these problems.

I think that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general could prove to be an intelligent solution to help the unbanked people in the third world and give financial inclusion. In the end, to use and store cryptos (not in huge amount maybe) a smartphone is enough.

I strongly agree this point. Because if they know the basic communication skill and basic education. It will help the people to work in online to get some  payment in weekly or monthly.Even they can participate in signature to get some wre

Illiteracy is the cause of poverty. We know a cup of coffee (Starbucks) = 20 notebooks, or a school bag, or two pairs of slippers for poor children in Vietnam.
It’s not bitcoins responsibility to feed pr help people. It is humans responsibility to help each other, specifically the government. We can create charity programs or fund raisers with bitcoin though and it is guaranteed to help them due to bitcoins abundance and its value. If each of us is kind enough maybe we can try to provide their basic needs. Its a long shot I know but it might just work. They dont have much access as we do since they are in a third world country. The advancement of their technology is too slow and their lack of education is a big hindrance for them to progress. Again, bitcoin cannot help the poor, only people can, but people’s selfishness and greed is just disgustingly too much.  Sad

Exactly...illiteracy is the root cause of many social evils and it is only due to illiteracy that most of the nations are still on the verge of development instead of being called as fully developed. When the nation is educated its human resources are developed and trust me developed human resource is an unmatched possession that a nation can have. So that is why many of the world organizations are working in this direction to promote education among the children to eradicate the  common social evils from their very root. In fact education is now considered as one of the basic needs of living along with food, clothing and shelter.

There are already nonprofit organizations that help undeveloped countries and accept bitcoin as donations. I think btc4hunger is one of them.

Well it can help in a sense that the youth can have more choices of having a source of income where they do not givve up their studies. As a youth in a third world country, I am using bitcoin's full potential in earning monwy to pay my tuition fee and school fees. It may not help them directly but it can help them in some  ways. But I think that is a good thing. I do not see any direct impact of bitcoin to poverty, except mode of donation.
