Paypal is good if its not much BTC, you can always look for trusted member in this forum. Otherwise btc-e.com....

Are you able to get verified? If so, bitstamp is a pretty good option. Otherwise I would use localbitcoins.

I've made two successful trades with "Projects" -- one for over $300 and the other for over $600 worth of BTC. I went first both times and he paid by Moneygram. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
