Big ideas and big capital are both very important in starting a business. I think it's more important big idea than big capital. Many people say that a successful person starts from a person's head or idea. For me, it is neither the idea, nor the capital.

You can be very successful with a business plan that has already been implemented. You don't necessarily need to be original, or disruptive. You can have a great success opening a hair salon, or a bakery!

In the same idea, having a lot of money to start can help, of course. But it is not necessary. You can start without money of your own.

For me, definitely, the most important is to start with a network. To be able to rely on your relatives. Because with people around you, believing in your project, you will be able to share ideas and maybe even get some money... Everything can be done, as long as you can truly rely on people around you! I'd say yes to your opinion mate that big idea is more important than having a big capital when starting a business. Having a big capital without that big idea on what business to start with can be useless. I know a friend who started a business with only a small amount of capital invested and because of his fruitful ideas he manage it well and was able expand his business to cater the growing number of customers. With that, I would say that having a big capital is not really a big deal to start a business.

However, it will be difficult to generate a big idea and big and strong plans without knowing exactly how much capital you need. Not knowing your capital or the amount you can spend on will limit all of your ideas since it will be quite impossible to do somethings o grand and big without the fund. Example of there are the ICO's that are just labeled as scam in the end. Most ICO's starts as great ideas, that is why they promote their project, to gain sponsorship/investors and funds. However, when their soft cap is not reached or if they didn't accumulate enough money, they end up exiting their project or abandoning the projects just because there's no money to support their "big and great" ideas. In the end, they will all be labeled as just scam, even though they don't really want to. That's why, I think the capitals plays a greater role when it comes to business.

Let's be real here. The number of people that can have a big capital is being outweighed by the people who don't have the means to have enough to support their ideas. I didn't read the whole thread but it should be as clear as day that in today's world where capital is abundant, the limiting factor is indeed a worthy idea. If you really have a big idea, as you call it, you will always be able to find enough capital to fund its development and application.
