in fiat, all the value of altcoin depends on the bitcoin. the ups and downs of the market rely on what's always crypto movement bitcoin. even the ethereum who already has a great platform to do the same. I doubt that altcoin would be able to stand on its own without the bitcoin.

They are relatively independent individuals, not who depends on whom? They all have their strengths. I believe in Eth.

Cost of all cryptos depends from BTC. Everything will go to the abyss if BTC returns to 1000 usd. It will bounce but it will be a total disaster on a market.

I think eth movement is independent it's just that BTC has a big impact in all cryptos that's why recently when BTC is down other cryptos is affected.

Agreed at some point. For example when there was news about hard forks in ethereum, it's price went down and it had to do nothinf with bitcoin but generally, if you see, when bitcoin rises, ethereum and other altcoins follow it. Ethereum's price depends on bitcoin but it has it's own sides which can sometimes make price a little independent from bitcoin's movement and one of them is news, yes, because it's the most popular altcoin.

It is not only ETH that depends on bitcoin but the whole digital market relies on this currency or in other words, there are few big whales who manipulate crypto market according to their wish. Most of the coins grow when bitcoin grows but few show opposite behavior too and those do not come among the favorite ones. Bitcoin has laid the foundation of this industry. It makes sense if other depends on BTC

ethereum could have a chance to grow on its own. Although currently the ethereum serin seen following the bitcoin, however, I think it won't be forever. It is certainly because the ethereum has its own capital to grow. and just wait for the time to ethereum stands on its own.

In a way, Ethereum developers and companies depend on the Bitcoin network for its stability and security. Ethereum prioritizes flexibility and functionality to provide a more efficient ecosystem for developers, while Bitcoin operates as a better store of value.

For instance, Blockchain startups that often engage in ICOs normally hedge their funds raised in Ether to Bitcoin for increased stability. Since Bitcoin has a substantially lower volatility rate, startups prefer to maintain their funds in Bitcoin via cold storage or hardware wallets such as Trezor.

You all know that after a huge price fall most of the crypto currencies have now come to their previous support levels. ETH has reached its previous November resistant level ( Now it is a support level ). The Support is at around $400 level and the level is a pretty strong one. But for BTC it needs to go further more down to reach its support level ( previous resistant) usually can be found around $5000. So my question is even ETH has come to its one of a good support level, can it go more down if BTC falls near that $5000 value ?

it can be.
eth is going around 0.11btc.

movement in all altcoins depend on btc. because of most of markets make trade with btc

Pretty much all coins/tokens depend on BTC movements. ETH is also affected by BTC movements, but I would say far less so than most other coins.

not really, ETH is falling too due to the news and BTC. I think BTC has impact to every coin. But sometimes when BTC falls severely, but ETH just falls slightly. That’s why we shall buy both of two.

In the present condition of the market ETH price completely depend on the Bitcoin price because Bitcoin is the major currency to all other blockchain out there. Already we are seeing many times till now whenever Bitcoin price decreases automatically the price of ETH price decreases.

I think the main reason is not the dependence of Ethereum on Bitcoin, but the fears of investors and traders, with the redness of the market. And they run to withdraw funds to Fiat. In addition, the news that causes the fall affects not only Bitcoin.
Ethereum can grow without bitcoin but the problem I seen was most investors of eth or altcoins will jump or sell their coins when the market goes correction and buy BTC.

Based on research on market indicators (looked at the graphs), one can observe that ETH is mostly dependent on BTC.
But ETH is a hope that in the near future he will become independent. (but that does not mean that the price will go up). Eth- as a means of payment.

This is what most of the traders are doing now. Just because Bitcoin's price is falling down, traders thought that altcoins will fall down also. Altcoins' prices are independent and shouldn't be based on Bitcoin's price.

wrong! the sole reason why eth price affected by BTC is we are buying eth thru BTC and arbitrage if BTC price drops the eth/usdt/fiat pair is higher to abuse some profit they will sell eth to BTC until both pair eth/btc and eth/usdt/fiat prices equalized. it so fast perhaps because of bots. it also affect btc/eth price if eth/USDT/fiat goes up people will buy eth/BTC pair to gain profit until both pairs equalized

I think that over the past few months it has become clear that bitcoin still has too much influence on the behavior of all other cryptocurrencies, so regardless of the supposed technical advantages that an altcoin as ethereum can have with respect to bitcoin, everything seems to indicate that its behavior will be strongly linked to the behavior of bitcoin for a long time, so if it continues its current behavior, ethereum could stay below $500 for long.

It does, but more or less it depends on ETH's back round work as well. Like its projects, marketcap and investment on it. Not only ETH depends on the growth of bitcoin but other altcoins as well. Ether value is growing due to its small contracts and yes the team is focusing on expanding its small projects. Hope to have a growth in value down the line and ETH is expected to have its anytime hike this year. Though the first half has been bit sad, the second half should be yielding profits to the investors. The value should be growing by now.

Good observation. I think yes, ETH movements depends on the bitcoin. If bitcoin again fall down to 5000 USD then ETH will go under 350 USD. This year is totally unpredictable, but we realize again in these previous months that, the crypto market depends on bitcoin movements. If bitcoin rise then total crypto market rises!
