It surely wouldn't harm for the team to be more present on their own thread especially now that there is all this FUD, started from a Newbie who doesn't want to use his true identity for making the accusations, which in itself is quite suspicious. There are clues which suggest he may be part of a rival project.
As for what has been discussed about the incident, I am not really understanding the tech part, so I won't express opinions on that.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Only FUD. I don't imagine who would lie and FUD against us. Every day we receive DDoS, attacks and moreover... now we got FUD. Probably all these comes from our competition.

Regarding our progress. We are moving along on releasing the Mining Pools which have been in public tests for more than 1 month. Regarding our activity, you can check out the GitHub evolution which will tell the truth. I don't use bitcoin talk because it is using an old forum platform and we use telegram more as it is easier for us to communicate. I even use QQ from time to time.

GitHub

My personal GitHub
https://i.imgur.com/yp9BP9D.png

As you can see, the devs and the community is working hard, even harder than before Definitely, we had been doing a lot of progress protecting the network from over 6 different attacks which all of them failed. Regarding the wallet that was stolen, everyday exchanges get hacked etc because of human fault. My computer got hacked via an exploit and somebody stole one of the 40 wallets which were in plain text as I thought nobody could hack a Linux based computer with no other software installed except WebStorm and GitHub. But I was wrong. But we wrote a script that had recovered the entire sum back to the team "canceling" transfers from more than 400 different addresses and transfers. If Ethereum lost 3.6 million Ethereum and they had to create a new fork called Ethereum (the classic is the hacked one), we were able to write a script that undue all those transactions unaffecting the rest of the network.

BTW: Don't forget Bitcoin had over 23 different exploits some minor, some more... over the time. https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-12094/Bitcoin.html  Cool

I visit this branch 1-2 times a week, for me it's like an interesting series .. at the moment I do not believe anyone, as time says it will show.
I have a few coins collected in the early days, now it only remains to watch and wait for the pools.

but as an example, look at two large coins (I was there from the beginning, I know what I'm talking about) this NANO ( RaiBlocks ) and DeepOnion,
in the first - on the Russian branch now 624 pages, and the same number removed the moderator (swear words for two pages at a time removed)) in the second, - the developer was accused of fraud and instilled a red distrust )), and now we see that these are two successful coins!

who knows, maybe it will be useful here, since everything is going so hard?

Deerhunter you are spreading FUD. Your account is 7 days old and your posts are only related to this!. I have caught you with lie as you are spreading FUD only against US You are a troller probably from nimiq. That's all. I have explained everything that the wallets were not encrypted with any password and stored on my personal computer and somebody exploited a vulnerability in my linux machines or the local network. There were no problem with the code and you can check the github repository. There were no issues with the code and nobody can steal money from an account with 51% attacks. They can only invalidate transactions usually to attack exchanges.   Somebody had got remote control of my computer and had stolen the wallet from my personal computer. Regarding Linux - have a lot of exploits. Checking this database https://www.exploit-db.com/platform/?p=linux different distribution of Linuxes had over 2777 exploits which were publicly published. The wallets were recovered entirely and it didn't affect the network in any way. and SUBJECT CLOSED.

WebDollar it's an open source community-based technology project. There is no "company" or "devs" just like Bitcoin.

@alexandru.b @AlexandruPanait

I really would like you to see to start your project as a serious business. As you want to become the money of the internet, there are other projects like DNotes that are on the way to do fully compliant Reg D 506 (c) crowdfunding followed by a Reg A+ Mini-IPO to legalize their entrepreneurship. But as you stated, 'WebDollar i[t']s an open source community-based technology project. There is no "company" or "devs"', I guess you see yourselves as miners of WB, even though in control of the code and the communication. So it seems that there will never be legal structures behind this "money of the internet", which let me doubt that this is more than a phrase.

Following your forum and project it is an outstanding example for how young people think/thought to raise money in the (ongoing?!) wild west of crypto. After just a few months of existing, you show mastery in using obvious marketing strategies and communications. If you are able to get WB listed on one exchange, I am sure that you and your followers will start to pump WB price - and as there was nothing before, you will get some BTC and so worthy US-Dollars.

Reading your posts I would like to correct one of your statements. ETC was not hacked (https://www.reddit.com/r/EthereumClassic/comments/8s5uh8/im_thinking_about_getting_into_etc_but/). Furthermore I do not understand why you complain about hackers and competitors. Be sure, there are hackers worldwide which will attack the WB blockchain and their users, especially if it becomes worth some money. Trying to suggest that these attacks were coordinated from one specific foundation or country is a smear campaign like you calling it FUD yourselves. If you like to compete only to BTC and ETH, wouldn't it be possible that a BTC group fears the WB or an ETH group fears your smart ideas? Or as you mention skypool, which is a pool in the hands of the Chinese: Could they have an interest in the attacks?

I would be glad and thankful, if you use your resources and document your experiences with hacks, ddos attacks etc and sharing them with the blockchain community. There are so many promising projects out there which could need your help.

Finally, if you want to build trust, do not mention that your project do not have any money. Make a business plan and convince investors. Not those on bitcointalk or reddit but the investors with real big money. And if this is an impossible endeavor, then ... I do not know.. possibly this whole project idea is not as good as you are saying.

Thanks for the information. A smart contract from the Ethereum which is known as Ethereum Classic, as the new fork was renamed to Ethereum solves the smart contract issue in which millions of ETH were stolen. WebDollar blockchain was safe and secured. The fault was human mistake that I didn't encrypt the wallet.

Regarding the other claims, Bitcoin is in the control of the GitHub developers and they can do any forks they want as long as the miners accept.  Bitcoin is not in the control of Satoshi Nakamoto because Hal Finney died.

Ok, but now I understand the critics. If WebDollar blockchain was safe and secured, and only your private mined webdollars were "hacked", then it was just your private interested in solving the issue doing a hard fork and restoring your funds (premined funds from the genesis blog).

But sure, there are only 316 followers on twitter - it should be not that hard to convince the necessary amount of people, and you control the miner software as well, although it is open source. Eventually, you own the website - and why should be there some people interested in doing a clone or hard fork of WD? It is just like it is.

I know. Pools are in beta more than month.

Still no exchange or pool

We have experimental mining pools on the main network. https://webdollar.ddns.net:9094/pool/0/WebDollar%20Experimental%20Pool/0.02/WEBD$gDU+tP3@42@L9$Is463vDJi4IKrabPNNn$$/93ba881950314cca579d4f8699a6bc67695ec7292bceadb6f6709b70beba774a/https:$$webdollar.ddns.net/https:$$webdollar.ddns.net:80

We're working to finish pools this week for the official pools with referral release and bounty program and this month the first exchange should be here too.

And as you can see, one of your team member told that "finish pools this week for the official pools". And it was July 2. But today is July 22.

Probably it was me who said that we will finish the pools. Unfortunately, we can't predict the future. All the time, we try our BEST pushing ourselves to the limit, but always there are a few things to do before finishing them. Either we get troubles with the automatic payments from the pool or from the "person" who is flooding the network.

Regarding the status of the Pools. It looks we were able to finish the automatic payments. We are still improving it everyday.

Interesting! What consensus are you using? Any ICO? Any CPU or minimum computer requirements?

The Blockchain was developed from scratch on our GitHub https://github.com/WebDollar/Node-WebDollar We have over 14 contribuitors. The conesnsus is 40 seconds, proof of work.

We didn't held any ICO or any pre-sale.

A modest computer, and for running a full node over 1.5 gb ram. We will fix this as we load the entire blockchain in RAM for the moment.

Also can you please confirm that the first Exchange almost ready because only 8 days left until the end of July ?
And have you already written a website, code, rented dedicated servers, hired support staff for the first Exchange ?

Do you think that devs confirmation actually carries any weight? After all the delays and straight-out lies?
Do you really think any exchange will accept this untrustworthy project?

If you are lucky, they will build a private exchange with very low liquidity. At least they can issue hardforks when their exchange will get hacked.
But pretty much the webdollar project is going to fail. Don't waste your time & cycles on this.

the first important point is the pools, the second is the stock exchange ... all the rest on these 43 pages is your dispute about who is right and who is to blame, I think if there was no "black PR" from deer_hunter89, here it would be written several pages... and about this coin with your promises would have already been forgotten.
perhaps you need to pay wages deer_hunter89  Wink he makes you a marketing company.
seriously,  it's like a bad movie, you look only to see what to end!  Angry

p.s. I apologize if I was rude, I already regret that I have several coins and I have to constantly read this nonsense.

It's all about trust, so use STUPID PUBLICITY. They are 100% trustworthy.

I do not know, you already have wallets with more than 10.000.000,00 coins, without even having a pool that works well. Angry Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Grin

The hacking story is just a publicity stunt to delay the mining pools. The webdollar cryptocurrency was designed for the devs own benefit (and their miner friends), they will delay pools as much as possible. Experimental pools are just a way for naive people to waste their resources (they intentionally have suboptimal implementation). Don't touch this cryptocurrency, it's not for the people.

Man you're totally from another planet. Go and cry on your ICO made project. All investors lost there millions dollars and now you're trying with any weapon to recover your invention. Smiley)))) You're a joke with your project. If WEBD is as bad as you consider why are you wasting your time and energy to steal community from us? Smiley

I wish this project will be useful. A rather interesting website, arguable job, flawless website!

Thank you!!

No installations and no downloads but somewhere the coins need to be stored. Only in web wallets then?

The website is creating for you automatically an wallet. But you can create others by yourself. The wallets are stored using indexeDB in your browser and you have the option to download them for cold storage.

So this is a testnet, right? The coins don't actually count?

Nope, is the main net.

I have never done that before to be honest. It it still a decentralized solution or does anything in the browser store information that can steal the coins?

Yes it is totally decentralized. The browser is saving only on your computer the wallets, but you can use those in terminal too. You have two ways to use your wallet. Via browser or terminal.

Is using the terminal the safer way? Browsers can be easily infected or not? Terminals seem to be more safe.
