Do a deeper research, that amount must be atleast bring you a profit daily if you are going to play that capital in trading, but my advice is, do not stick in eth or bitcoin alone, spread your money in some potential coin, like monero and some Potential ICO's, it will help to maximize your return 100X.. Investing in one coin alone will make your money at sleep for weeks or maybe for months..

You can buy ETH as you wish. By doing some analysis ETH's price before was $1k+ and now it's around $377+ so it's a good buy. But why are you looking at ETH only, don't you want to invest in bitcoin too? It's a good time to buy BTC.

Check CoinMarketCap or Coinstats for the top coins. It is always better and safe to invest in credible and stable coins. The investment allocation will depend on your personal preference. I personally think Ethereum is a very good choice and you will not be wrong if you invest in it. You can also split the money for two or three coins other than Ethereum, for example Stellar (10%) and IOTA (10%).
