It is because they heard stories like someone invested somethung and it goes x10 or more for a short period of time, thus they got attracted to unvesting to an ICO or to the crypto. As per bank it will take years before your investment to grow but still it is a safe way investment that crypto because crypto has volatility making it riskier than bank.
