I am planning to close the iSpace pool for this coin ..... any reason why I should hold off?
None that I can see. Drop it.
Granted, you're the only active TRP pool (no one is using japool), but that's not your problem to deal with.
There are Troption trades going on outside of currency exchanges
Where? I'd like to dispose of mine.
just as with Itex which has been around and active with thousands of businesses for many years.
You did not seriously just try to compare yourself to Itex, did you? Do you even know what it is or how it works? Not even remotely the same thing.
and Troptions has a stable history
What history, you've only been around 6 months, and there are only 5-6 people mining/using it.
The pool has been helpful and miners seem to like to mine it from the beginning, partly, I suppose because of the fast blocks, so hopefully it will still be on a pool for those who do not rely on being on a currency exchange, as well.
iSpace pool is running at 45gh/s and is currently the only pool with anyone mining on it.
Just to see, I started solo mining it a few minute ago. I'm only 60gh/s. In the last 4 minutes, I've hit 4 blocks in a row (Sorry to the other 5-6 people trying to mine it, I'm ruining it for you guys!). It says a lot when a single 60gh/s user can dominate the network and proves the lack of use.
You're pretending like this is some uber popular coin that lots of people are dealing with, but the facts based on block chain and net hash show otherwise.
To that; Why should others flip the bill running a pool to support your coin when they aren't going to get anything out of it. Pool operators are in it to make money.
Doge found it's niche and Troptions has, but somewhat outside of the techy world.
Doge found it's niche? Doge is a primary currency on most exchanges along side BTC and LTC. That's not niche.
Believe me, I understand you are proud of your coin and want to save it, but the reality is that it's not up to you, it's up to the market place, and the market place doesn't seem interested. If your serious about your coin, and happy to accept it having no cash value in the crypto marketplace, maybe you should consider running your own pool to support it. I'm sure you can buy servers and pay for electricity and internet with your TRP "It's the new Itex" Network.
